Cabby nearly causes accident, then speeds off when cyclist tries to confront him

actually, from what i see, cabby turned on the signal.. just that maybe cyclist where in his blind spot..
cyclist also 1/3 in the lane
the rear driver also a kapo chee

Eh i just saw a car driver threaten a silver colored hyundai taxi around 0830hrs Jan 12,2014 at MArine Parade Rd
Silver taxi cut into black BMW at Still Rd South as there is only one lane to turn left to Marine Parade Rd, BMW driver horn very loudly.
After the turn, BMW driver cut into taxi lane, infront of Marine Parade CC, TD tried to reverse but was blocked by another vehicle
BMW driver got out of the car, opened the taxi driver door, slapped TD shoulder, TD tried to block but kena slapped, was shouting and threatening TD...
cant hear wat TD say coz at the opposite side of the road...
BMW driver drove off 5 mins later, turned to Marine Drive...
Wanted to call police but cant see the BMW car plate... -

motorcyclists had it for so many yrs liao....but who cares? becos most are blue collared workers...

i hate cyclist driving the centre of the fucking lanes...meaning the white lines...esp PIE. Best is running 60km/h on the 2nd lane....want to overtake also headache...cause got so many cars on the 1st and 3rd lane.

Most of these knnccb so called 10 thousands dollar per cycle cyclists are just plain stupid, being a banker, GM or CEO putting yr life on the road with drivers of all sort, from indian to bangala to TD to ah bengs...not worthy. Let say a CEO earning 20k per month, bangala driver only $1k, coupled with property, nice family and so on, once hit only, CEO go mount vernon or kong meng shan, bangala the most go back bangadesh

Cycling is not a viable sport in Singapore, other countries like france got a whole mountain of route for them to cycle, but to bring it here is totally insane, just like army training, there is a limitation of training ground in Singapore, you need to go overseas to get better exposure and space. Those who ride motor cycle should know that a trailer or tipper truck past by you only, your handle can shake, not to mention bicycle, which is light and small, it is like placing 30% bet of your if on those industrial roads

1. Cyclists using motorised bicycles, like any other vehicles plying the roads, must ride in a responsible manner and with due care and consideration for other road users. They must always abide by the road traffic rules.
Motorcycles needs to ON the headlight, why is not the bicycles? Isn't cyclists must always abide by the road traffic rules?
Road is not a place to play hide and seek or camouflage yourself. If the cyclists did not do enough to make himself visible to other road users, who's fault? Did the cyclist abide by the road traffic rules?
TD did signal before the change in lane. If the cyclist ignore the warning and did not anticipate the cabby to change lane and still think that the road belong to their grandfather and no vehicle should come ahead of them. Did the cycliest ride in a responsible manner and with due care and consideration for other road users?
2. The electric motor must cut off when the bicycle reaches a speed of 25 km/hr or when the rider stops pedalling. This speed is comparable to the average speed of a moderately fit adult pedalling a conventional bicycle on level ground;
Is the bicycle expect to travel above 25km/h? No.
Is the taxi expect to travel above 25km/h? Yes.
How could it possible for a slower moving object to crash into a much faster moving object ahead of him?
To the person that take the video, please report the case to LTA or taxi companies. Please dont draw your personal jugdement on the case and defamate TD without enough supporting justification.
If you encounter a barking dog, what will u do? Of course, ignore him.

What is wrong when the taxi had signalled and stop to pick up pax? The cyclist are not that fast and they can stop easily, no high risk accident or even near it. Yet the cyclist behave they are almost kill and want rough actions with the TD, of cos just ignore these ppl and drive off lo, time is money for TD.
The driver behind also got problem with TD never ending image that TD are all bad guys thinking. siao wan...

Usually, I prefer to comment on issue related to the topics, Since u like to talk about small font so much. My comment especially for you. You can always enlarge/zoom the image on the screen of the smartphone. I doubt anyone got problem with this feature on the smartphone. I cycle. Ever even race before. And I tell u something, when I stopped to help a injured cyclist, the cyclistS behind me curse n swear at me for stopping. They don't even care for their own type, you think they know what is considerate road behavior?
