I do not understand : Some hirer ask for $40/** for rental fr 10pm to 4 am @$40/**.it works out to $6.66 per hr. the whole day rental is $115,so per hr =$4.79!!! Q: 1)Make a profit from relief 2)who will rent fr him for the period when after 10 pm the roads are quiet,worst is after 12 mn.The relief will not only work for nothing but waste of time, U could look down fr yr window after1 2 mn out of 10 vehicles on the road,8 are green light taxis. 3)Hirer is fishing & total waste of time.

its the market force to decide you like you take you dont like walk away , if the timng not that good why you even look for it , perhaps you also fishing for cheap cheap rental . so at the end of day it goes both way , there is always a bigger & smarter fish in ocean if one cannot tahan dont enter deep waters

If friday and saturday nite, can take mah...call him and ask him,..Hello, fri and sat nite only...$40, no washing...ai mai? Everything is negotiable under the sun, but in the skill of negotiation, it alway start at the upper or lower most extreme end, he quote at the upper end of $40, you quote him $18 at the lower end, then maybe can negotiate till $25.

Yes market force decides but then the green horn (not aware of market rates & v v low pax timing)may hv stupidly try for a wk only to find that he is a stupid fool to hv let this NO HEART hirer take >100% advantage of his ignorance. Bowah u are right if fri & sat can try,but this hirer only wants relief to drive 7 days.

the only fair treatment one can get in this world at best is from one's mother and father rest of the world treat you at their own convenience. The mention of green horn example is what we call "learning from experience" nobody comes into this world already learned the ways of world you live in this world you get cheated and that's how you learn. Hirer only follow what taxi company do, they also have no heart so why do you expect anybody else to show you one , five fingers are not equal there are bad people and there are good people . There are also horror stories of relief in the market. So if you think your hirer took advantage of you throw key and find a new hirer

This is already well know that taxi cos are heartless .so as smrt,do their high lv personnels deserve $0.5 m & more salary given the service render. but we are commoners,should not we spare a thought for the td who is just honestly making a living, What I can not tolerate is hirer take a cut fr relief(he definitely will not share the benefits given to him fr taxi co ,even if this green horn drives 7 days for him ).

What to do, in a tank of big fishes eat small fishes, as small fishes, where can your hide, might as well make friend with them, maybe still can survive abit longer..till 2016?

As a hirer, when committed to took out a taxi, is up to him to play around with the vehicle lor....
As a relief, you got no say to anything pertaining to that taxi, beh cum, just throw the farking key to his face lor.....
If TS think that as a relief can influence the mentality of hirer, than better wake up lor.....
That's explain also why still got people prefer to be a hirer, yes, he can be a nonsense to ask for unreasonable timing or rate of rental, but he song mah, whether he can find a relief or not, everyday he still need to make full rental payment to the taxi coy.....
So, he is happy to take his own LJ to hit his head mah....
As a relief, just go and find other suitable hirer to partner with.....
Don't waste time trying to act hero and thinking there's a standard to Sg taxi industry.....

Aiya, it good for poster like TS to come out and TCSS mah, if not nothing to talk mah, like this also end up talking about standard or bo standard, mai lah, gives and take lah, Got such hirer stating this kind of price, also got such reliefs making noise and laughing at him mah. But not to worry lah, with rental keep going up, by next years, $40 for this kind of hours, I think many will Q up and grab
