Cyclist are suppose to come down and push their bicycle at traffic juntion and zebra crossing instead of riding, this is a LTA rule on them, but somehow nearly 100% cyclist never do it, and LTA also never do anything. Cyclist also cannot use handphone or that use one hand to hold an umbrella and the other on the bicycle handle. But again, nearly 100% do it, and LTA also never do anything...haiz

Fyi, the 1st sign that cyclists started to flooded Sg road is not from ang mo hor....
So after educate those PRC in various form, we see lesser this type of cyclists on the road, rusty bicycle, bicycle carrying 3 people etc....
Than don't know when people started to ride like professional with full gear, thanks to those events organizers who bring in this sport for the past few years, smlj tournaments also have.....
This organizers are the one who actually encouraging those people, Sg can cycle until like that....
At least PRC only ride from work place to home, those "champion" can ride from East to West just for fun, knn.....

HER car rammed into a cyclist from the rear so hard that he flew and hit the front windscreen, cracking part of it, before rolling onto the road.
But Cleopatra Wong Yuin Ping, 30, thought the body that smashed into the windscreen was a rotten tree branch that had fallen.
She did not bother to stop and continued driving her car along Holland Road. Wong was also unaware that her victim's bicycle was stuck in the undercarriage of the Lexus ES300 belonging to her father, despite the noise of the bicycle scraping against the road.
The bicycle was dragged for about 2km before it was dislodged.
When Wong, who was a teacher then, reached home, she went to bed.
She realised something was wrong only when she woke up in the morning and found out that the police had towed away the five-year-old Lexus.
Taken to court over the accident, Wong claimed that the soundproofing of the Lexus was so good that she thought the "sounds" she heard were caused by the tree branch.
Last month, she was fined a total of $2,400 - $800 on each of three charges - and disqualified from driving for a year.
She had pleaded guilty to inconsiderate driving, failing to stop after an accident and failing to render assistance after an accident.
The court heard that Wong was driving home along Holland Road at about 5.15am on Oct 19, 2008, when she hit the rear of a bicycle ridden by Mr Muhammad Asri Aris. -

End up he lan lan still end up $2000 poorer.Actually before any sentence is pass in court during the PTC the judge, DPP, lawyer all come to an agreement on the charges, sentencing then when go court just wayang one lah. So good lawyer can negotiate better and judge and DPP will sometimes give face to lawyer as some senior lawyer could be mentor before to th DPP or even sub court magistrate.

So moral of the story, the law in singapore is kelong one. Court proceedings all pian lang one. If you got good connections with the legal circle and have some spare cash to spend ok one. Unless you murder someone or drug trafficking or any capital crime then lan lan loh.
