Taxi Drivers. And the Spirt of Giving...Discounts

took one pax. say now very hard get cab. even book also cannot find sometimes. then when find one, the cab may be higher meter model. then after that still go long way, may be becos of jam or driver himself, so overall the fare more ex than last time. then some cabs also wont take passengers, say all sort of reasons, change shift la, no electronic payments la, dont know how to go la, then why all so kumgong all jam at airport for what..blah blah blah so this pax suggested, why taxi drivers cannot also be indulge in the spirit of giving during seasons. give good service la, give discounts la, why must make things difficult for passengers during festive period. passengers are happy happy out for shopping, but when come to going home or taking transport even for simple trip, have to face all sort of challenges. when rain, its even harder to find cabs, dont know all run where, why must earn that little bit booking, dont hide come out la, help the ladies and gentlemen load mah, else the rain will make things wet and spoil isnt it....why cant taxi drivers get into the spirit of giving!? they are public service providers what! they should readily serve the public when they are called upon! ..when reach, pax paid meter exactly i remember something like 8.80 or what. i just drove off liao.

Then we must also suggest why pax cannot be in spirit of giving...tips..Pax happy happy go shopping..TD bo pian bo pian gotta go driving to pay this pay that and in the end left peanuts!! Rain make things wet and spoil TD fault?? TD come out help get wet then get sick, who help?? This kinda of pax CB pax,,,

I remember I was in this country (don't say where, wait someone say I how lian again
), during snow period, TD who are still plying the road are like HERO saving the world....They are being praise through media or radio for serving the public although is heavy snow, sending pax by pax from airport to their destination, arbo, everybody will just stuck inside airport or shopping mall or whatever place you can name it....
But in Sg, once rain, you know, I know la....

Yesterday, fetched an Ang Mo female pax from Killiney Road to Mohd Sultan Rd. Fare was around $4.40. Pax gave $10 and say keep the change. Wished me a Merry Xmas too. So, some pax do get into the spirit of giving during festive seasons. But, rare lah....

yes most ANg Mohs esp tourists do give some tips,not like those heart land locals even want to demand a discount anytime u took a wrong turn or miss the turn!

NO lah, local malay paxs also good, that day took one from ang mo kio to waterloo, $16, give $20 also keep the change. Then also wish me good luck and understand taxi drivers hardship. That's is why never underestimate paxs, there are good and bad, good ones will alway then to perk up your day, bad ones just forget it and move on. On the other hand, do not sterotype paxs, some locals out of the blue can also give you good tips, AP to pasir ris, Q for 30 minutes, pasir ris st 11, limpeh also cool, reach pasir ris only $15 with $5 surcharge, pax give $30 and keep the change, local paxs, said he understood our hardship, and appreciate my service with a smile, most drivers would had shown a sour face. In fact, I wanted to give him back $10, saying that is hard for him, especially knowing that he is also a bus driver going holiday with wife, also earning a living, but he insisted. Few days later, Q until outside road at T2, knn, Q for 40 minutes, knn one go Pasir st 71, bo bian, somemore big heavy bags, also service with a smile, reach liao only $16, pax give $25 keep the change, we chat on the way, he also apologise for his heavier than usual bags, I told him, it ok, all returning flight also hv heavy baggages, shopping mah..lols So, i guess all of us hv our good days and bad ones, every drivers will hv in a way taken huge tips and surprise gesture and greeting from good paxs, let take it as our best perks and benefit as a TD.

Ya local Malays are my favourite pax. Buay complain long route anywhere also can and still have some tipping.

Tipping is very subjective la....
Knn, meter fare, $11.90, give you $12 ktc also consider tipping mah.....
Recently if I take taxi, if cum can talk type, $5 drink kopi will give lor.....
Some TD like kiam him million dollar like that, how to give him extra?.....
Don't forget, limpek also drive taxi many many years hor.....

$5, knn, starbuck already $6 for latte liao leh...also not enuf, aiya, got tip or not tip also not and issue, as long as pax dun nao chee nao lan, make noises or want to play with uncle can liao lah, reach destination just pay the fares, dun be cheapo can liao, dun end up kpkb this and that, give $100 tip I also dun wan..
