ERP, City Surcharge, Flag Down Distance to change

one of the friends who travelling with me, say he hear from other union members that internally there is going to be increase in these 3. instead of scrapping ERP for taxi, they are going to roll out whole day ERP just for taxi. that means ERP will be applicable all the time (but after midnight maybe should not have). and not only that, rates will be more, maybe double normal car. this will help reduce congestion in easily crowded areas while promoting passengers to book cabs in. City Surcharge will be increase, instead 3, become more, some say 5.. 6, or more dont know yet. and the applied timing will also stretch to cover like ERP. these first 2 is to increase taxi availability, while pushing more commuters towards other public transport like bus and train. Then to make the Flag Down easier, all cabs will have 1 standardised but higher flag down rate. but the flag down distance will be different for different models different coys. how if like this

Long wait for commuters on Orchard fringes where extra $3 fee does not apply
No city surcharge, no cabs in sight
The $3 city surcharge, or lack of, seems to be one reason why commuters on the fringes of Orchard Road have to wait a long time for cabs.
Going by The Straits Times' recent investigations, those at Far East Plaza wait as long as 40 minutes for a cab on a Friday night.
Taxi drivers seem to avoid heading to the Scotts Road mall as it is just outside the Orchard cordon, which means they do not get the $3 city surcharge.
But commuters who wait in Orchard Road, where cabbies get to charge the extra $3, take around 10 minutes to get a taxi.

I believe all of you hv saw 2 ice cream parlour in motorbike selling at taka and paragon, at both side of the traffic light, and one of them own a condo liao. Why not they go sell at river valley or tanglin, the forum and so on.

Ice Cream licensing also not easy to obtain hor.....
Only a few corner in Orchard Road can sell hor, the rest consider illegal hawking hor.....

Same mah, TD like me also bid, if kenna then go into CBD, what imply here is that all are the same, wherever that can make more money and save cost, people are sure to flock there. If this simply logic cannot be understood by LTA, pax and our lau char bo mod, then I believe that is play acting, nothing ignorant about it. We taxi driver dun owe anyone a living, nor does anyone owe us a living, and we certainly do not hv to prove to anyone on how we drive and earn our living.
