300 and 6 points, what comes next, suspension?

So got my lta summon to pay for not picking up pax.
Does the suspension come after I pay for the summon?

No, in context of singapore laws, double punishment is not present. However, there can be add on punishment if one decided to appeal but failed, or one decided to evade the punishment

Huh? What you mean?Refusing, without reasonable excuse, to hire out taxi or to convey passenger : 6 demerit points AND $300 fine.
6 demerit points = 2 week holiday.
So, kena both $300 fine and 2 weeks holiday.
I guess must surrender vocational licence upon paying the fine. The holiday period starts from there..

mine quite interesting.
pax say no pick her up, but i never even interview her.
The gist is that I put on change shift sign instead of busy when i no intent to stop at taxi stop.
don't even know amara legislated as a taxi stop.
before they make 100AM, no taxi stop there.

I thought can put change shift n interview at taxi stand? many still doing tat rite? but put busy n go interview is wrong,correct bo? Like u put change shift "jurong" go taxi stand,ask around but no one take,so u move out empty picking no one,tis one consider wrong?

I am answering to the thread title, in reasonable situation, you cannot sentence a defaulter twice, meaning if I sentence you to life, then later death, you hv the right to appeal. And for taxi driver, NTA comes into the picture if you are a member. If not, then you hv to look for MP or your company management. So without a reasonable doubt, you get 6 demerit pts + 300 fines. They cannot send another letter telling you that you are suspended, this show they are not decisive. -

This is a teething situation, 1. changing shift to indicate your direction is ok if there is a long Q at the taxi stand, Reason being with a long Q and no taxis, you are a hero in helping out to clear 2. if there is sustaintial amount of taxi and the Q is not long, please move out, reason being you become and obstruction and unfair to those taxi on the Q. -

In the eyes of the laws, within your trade, there is no such thing as I dunno (innocent), it is either yes or no. Mr so and so, as a taxi driver plying yr trade for quite a nos of years, do you know that there is a taxi stand at Amara. Please answer yes or no. I think there is more picture to it that you did not let us know -

Aiyoh...unker..Once you have accumulated 6 demerit points, LTA automatic give you 2 weeks holiday lah...6 to 10 pts - 2 weeks holiday.
11 to 15 pts - 4 weeks holiday.
16 to 20 pts - 8 weeks holiday.
21 points and above within a 24 month period - retire and go holiday forever..

Then it is inside that 6 points punishment lah, it is not another suspension mah. But to be fair, points u can take, $ can pay, suspension can appeal if there is reasonable doubt at the moment of engaging. I still encourage TS to either seek MP or talk with LTA or NTA if he is a member to evade that suspension due to the need to earn a living.

When you receive notice of summon from LTA or TP....
Meaning, your company had actually receive first, than redirect to whoever TD involved....
Suspension period can be serve at the later date....
Same thing, they will sent out notice again and stated when to when your suspension will start....
So if a TD had to serve suspension, taxi company will know 1....
And please hor, don't be a hero try to drive during the suspension period.....
If only short period of suspension, just find super relief to dong lor, if too long, than bo pian throw back the key lor....

For taxi point system, is not consider double punishment....
Point is point....
Than when hit certain point, the real punishment will cum in....
Just like our driving licence point system, only thing is there's only 1 level....
24 points accumulating than licence suspense, whereas TDVL got many level....
Can understand bo? very layman liao....

1. LTA or taxi coy investigate the case ?
2. Why so sure its TS fault?
i find it funny. Pax just hopped into taxi when seeing change shift sign, never check with driver destination first? Then not suitable, TS ask pax get off, pax complain?

Coy don't take back cab automatically when TD under suspension, so that coy can still collect rental?

Suspension is not revoke....
Usually 2 weeks or even 1 month suspension, they won't force you to return taxi lor....
My friend tio court case, 9 months suspension, taxi company also never ask him how....
But he himself chop chop return taxi....

When go lim kopi already ask what max punishment is, so already prepared.
What I can surmise is that pax 3 (complainant) was pissed (and I also no see her) cos pax 4 cheong my cab and I take off (1 george so near who wouldn't).
Nothing to stir. Live and learn.

Complain to LTA and complain to Taxi Coy is very different 1 hor....
After pax make a formal complain to LTA (everyday chow chow thousand case).....
LTA will request taxi coy to retrieve log report (that's why all coy need to be satelite ready) for that particular TD hor....
They are ISO certify 1 hor, must close the loop once complain cum in, no chin chin chye chye 1 hor....
Of course, if pax anyhow complain, LTA won't even pursue and tia gong everyday also got thousand nonsense complain....

And to be more open and frank, out of all these thousands and hundreds of complaint, nearly 3/4 are repeaters looking for vouchers or simply those who have IMH history in them, either depression, psycho...and so on, and nearly 3/4 are women, aunty to old women.
