The speed limit for the Kallang-Paya Lebar Expressway (KPE) is set to go up from 70kmh to 80kmh as early as next month - six years after the largely underground highway opened.
The Straits Times understands that the limit will be revised to be in line with the limit for the Marina Coastal Expressway (MCE), which opens at the end of the year. The KPE joins the MCE, which also joins the Ayer Rajah Expressway.
New speed-limit signs, covered in black plastic wrappers, have been placed in the tunnels, checks revealed. But certain stretches with sharper curvatures may retain the 70kmh limit.
Speed limits on other expressways are mostly 90kmh.Background story

$10 test water first mah,...knn,...you singaporean or bangadeshi??? you dunno how our govt work on taxation meh??? they will slowly slowly suck you dry one hor. First $10 for cab and cars, then suddenly so many cars, and as usual typical singaporean drivers will start to complain, then govt say, ok $20 fm this time to this time, $30 for this time to this time, and they can even call that time as peak hours. End up drivers all suck cock lor.

Let me give tell u story of how our govt way of working in getting their money back from you. 4 salesmen (govt), a village with monkeys (average and poor singaporeans) In village(HDB houses), there are some monkeys, nobody give a damn, One day a saleman came, told the village chief that he will buy any monkey caught for $100, all the villages start to work and work (singaporean workaholic), everyone catch monkey to earn that $100. Then a few weeks later, another saleman came into the village, and said I will buy $200 for any monkey caught, the villagers are now very tired and stressed due to hard work, however in hearing $200 per monkey, all start to perk up and work again, ever harder.. Then a few months later, another saleman appeared, and he said, I will buy the monkey for $500 each. The locals start to work and work...day and night driving, working, rushing to meet demand, on calls, and so on. Then another few months later, a prominent saleman arrived, he told the villagers, look, I am not going to buy any monkey, but I would like to sell monkeys to you, because, monkey are getting more and more expensive, more so as it is getting lesser in yr village, I sell you now, later when another saleman come, he will ask for $1000 per monkey, and I am now selling you $750 take back all the monkeys you sold plus many other monkeys in my warehouse. The villagers heard already, so happy, everyone grab for the monkeys for $750 each, paid and wait for the next saleman.....but the next saleman never come. I hope you see the moral of this story
