if after minus levy of 40cent = $1.60
think those driving older cabs with lower rentals will benefit more as there's not much adjustments besides the 30cent different in surcharge

Prime MDT got a surcharge icon "PHS" (public holiday surcharge) and so far, its not used.
i believe there will be a PH surcharge. those OMO on PH eve sure wont drive on PH morning.....and PH late morning always hard to get cab.....
morning TD also no motivation to drive.....no peak hr surcharge.

actually most normal cabs have only slight diff in flag down $3.00-$3.70. confusing meh???
it is those surcharges that are confusing...their locations and timings.....
1. standardise flag down (taxi companies will have to work within the given flagdown, be it price of vehicle and rental charged)
2. the meter should always display the TOTAL (including all surcharges) when it jumps..... many times, the pax always loook at the big figure (main fare) and thought all the surcharges are added it....or they simply poor with math. When stop and total, some mouth open so big...knn...
3. should go back to 100m jump.....knn.....now turn into those long winding humpy carparks, meter also nv jump.....but took longer than travel on expressway...knn...

Maybe SMRT turn to start the ball rolling.
SMRT just started sms hirers go back to reset meter.
So fare changes akan datang.

Maybe, cdg no recall yet, so the cartel could have decided that SMRT go and die first.
