The last fare hike leaded by 龙头�大 CDG is on 21st Dec 2011.
This round of fare adjustment maybe by 阿花 on 2x Dec 2013.
Bcos the PIC of this subject in the parliament oso an 阿花。

In order to make it SIMPLE and easy to remember.
The new Taxi Fare MAYBE divide all 阿花 Taxi into 3 Groups.
1) Normal
a) Old COE : Toyota Crown, TW 1.8 and TW2.0
b) New COE: Chevrolet Epica and Renault Latitude2) Luxury: Mercedes Benz
The new Taxi Fare structure will be very simple.
Normal Cab (Old COE)
Flag-Down: $3.40
Every 500m thereafter or less up to 10km: $0.30
Every 500 metres thereafter or less after 10 km: $0.40
Every 60 secs of waiting or less $0.40Normal Cab (New COE)
Flag-Down: $3.70
Every 500m thereafter or less up to 10km: $0.30
Every 500 metres thereafter or less after 10 km: $0.40
Every 60 secs of waiting or less $0.40Luxury Cab
Flag-Down: $5.00
Every 500m thereafter or less up to 10km: $0.50
Every 500 metres thereafter or less after 10 km: $0.60
Every 60 secs of waiting or less $0.60Current Booking Fee 24 Hours (00.01Hr ~ 2359Hr) : $2.00
Advance Booking Fee 24 Hours (00.01Hr ~ 2359Hr) : $10.00Off Peak Hour : 09.00 Hr to 17.00 Hr

MAYBE w.e.f 1st Jan 201x, All Taxi Companies Booking will handle by a Common Booking Central operated by some Authority.
All Pax that NEED to registered with the Call Center, Before they can start any booking.
They can register through Smartphone Apps, Email etc.
The Pax need to provode their Fixed or Mobile Number with Bank Account Infromation (For GIRO purpose) or Credit Card Information.Only registered client can book a cab through the common call centre (CCC),
When a client Book a cab through the CCC (Current or Advance),
When the Pax cancelled the call or No Show,
A 50% Admin Fee will charge to their Bank account or credit card.i.e. $1.00 for current booking, $5.00 for advance booking.
Cabby that fail for attend the booking oso will be penalty for same amount.

For the 250Km mileage regulation, I was the 1st one mention in clear in 3426 Taxi Forum,
Is Only my G2 information a bit wrong, I mention 350Km and Actual is 250Km.
This round hope that oso something as mention.

one fucker jap book 6 cabs
i press wrong ,press 5 mins
but i m the one reach first
after me got another 5 cabs
but they press 3 mins
after no show,they just drive off
too bad i need to wait 2 more mins than them
till left one min then pax come down
still can point to mdt n say n laugh...why book 6 cab( only 4 person)knnccb

So if by end of this year, another new higher COEs..another price will come out, so to me, what stated above is LPPL, in a long run, fares will go messy again. And if it get messy again, then transport minster for state can become for shit. Basically, to solve such a problem, you need to create a formula, a formula that is simple so that all commuter can know and understand. That formula will act a constant which would satisfy everyone. And even when you need to change, as change is evitatble, just tweat that formula. HOw to come out with that formula..dun ask me, we got thousands of Scholars both locals and foreigners working and sponsored by govt, with these see collars cannot think, then better go eat shit.

If can, time to move out of taxi driving. Let me gives you a compound inflation for the last 5 years, since 2008, inflation goes sky rocket high, taking an average of 4% increases, in 5 years period, you get 20% increases, and under national wage council recommendation, even if after 5 years, your income had gone up 20%, it is consider not going up, because of inflation, simply mean, your income did not increase during the last 5 years. So, most company will hv to pay their staffs wage increment above that 5% in order to consider real wage. And I see some increased 13% per year. So, let say a staff pay had increase by 10% everyyear, meaning real inrease is 6% and another 4% is to offset inflation (cost of living). In 5 years, his pays would had gone up 50%. So, a person earning 4000, would be having 6000 now + all kinds of benefit and bonuses. Back to Taxi driving, if you reapply that into taxi driving, ask yourself truly, for the past 5 years, did your income increased 50%. If yes, by all mean keep driving, if not, other than those retirees like me, for those below 40s or even 45s, you can reconsider getting a job, and do partime taxi driving.

Not to be negative, but this will create more problem instead.
CBD surcharge was created cos the biz at night is in cbd and td all over. So $3 psycho them come in. $2 attract you go in? I don't think so.
Worse from 6-7 when ERP at $2-3, nobody will go in, pax aeroplane you die. So this will create super low supply then.
Airport traveller happy cos supply endless, CBD all cry mother father. RWS etc passenger giddy when they see the fare.

same here, came out just before last fare hike in 2011. Trainer was part of discussions. End of day 80% predictions are correct. Last 20% is cos of last minute lobbying from different quarters vested issues so changed.

If you cannot find a pax when everyone thinks taxis are expensive, will you go into CBD at 6pm if you are driving a limo? I think i will.
When the airport is full of limosines, queuing time will be extended. Your waiting time become the same waiting time as limosines. I think normal taxis can really hand over keys if they make the fare structure like this.
The difference was already quite big before fare adjustments. Now the difference is like 65% more?
Another plot to rent out more mercedes?

Limo by itself is not a promotion from normal, it is just more comfortable and nicer to drive, on this aspect, it also come with a higher rental fees. You see, if all of us can afford to pay a rental fees of $170 per day, govt will be telling taxi companies, change all to limos so as to protray a better image for Singapore, just like germany, all mercedes. And even all can pay a rental of 170,all paxs must also be to foot a $5 flag down rates. And if limo become the taxis of tomorrow, then it will not be call limo, it will be normal, and that take us to another level of playing field, maybe then, they will introduce bentley or ferrari with a flag down rate of $20

I really really prayer your info is wrong tis time,if scrap midnight charge,night birds all mati leh How many trips could one take after midnight including the queuing time? Lets say fm 0000-0500hrs 4-5 trips? If change to peak hr siao liao -
That is exactly what I use to say, do thing never consult the players on the job, and these players are the taxi driver. If you notice whatever policies and rules created by LTA or govt, TDs will also play their part, most will make a paradigm shift to gain more or at least in term of income, not hurt by their one sided policies. Last time give night peaks all the way till midnite, most change to drive nite, now if after midnite no extra 50%...(which is the first in the world), u will see a migration of TD toward day driving, or OMO till 8pm. Then let those midnite paxs rot lor

don't think midnight charge will ever be abolish. From day 1 its been like that and all locals know it. this is the only surcharge that locals are 100% familiar.
TD will just adapt when new fares come in.
