Passenger say infront empty taxi tell her he is replacement

for my taxi booking!
i was on call, go inside this very big condo basement..just before i reach the lobby, i saw far in front got a crown top green light stop a bit at cross junction in front me, but when he checking he see me he quickly turn into my lane before i reach the junction.
when i go further in front, i see got person standing there, i think should be my booking. but that empty taxi reach there first and the person is woman bend to the window.
just when i reach, that woman look up at me and that taxi drive away towards exit.
i ask the woman what happen, she say that taxi ask her she book taxi right, when she say yes, he tell her he is replacement taxi for her booking. just then i come, she see my number so she come to me.
what is this??

Ask pax what's the veh booking number shown in her system.
if no cab number, let her decide which to take as at times system can cock up too
could be the other TD is blur. His pax could also be a lady, but not your pax.
always good to check against pax name and mobile, else u take wrong pax, the other pax can bun knife u. Esp if it's at a place where many pax are desperate for taxi. They will tell u all kind of story.

I practise calling ahead and give them eta. So far retention rate very good, 20 call maybe only 1 MIA.
Its when they don't answer then prepare kill call fast.
The stupido young girl kill call when you arrive syndrome on and off. 2 nights back 77 Robinson, called then arrived, then call kill and young office girl at front of queue flag you like mad, which is when you filter out and take another call. And wonder how some people so gong gong.

still the same one.i call the guy and say will be coming soon,yet a few minutes later call cancel!when the pax have this mentality of canceling once they got a passing cab,nothing can stop them except if coy willing to come out with a better booking sys!

i'm surprised many still doing it in the CBD during evening peak hours. they using this to lure cabs in, then cancel, hoping TD will just pick them up

I don't know, last time I take call, if tio cancel, just move on.....
Very rare I will call pax for confirmation unless is Limo jobs (guarantee payment).....
I only will press "arrive" and "call" on my MDT, good enough.....
Pax want to play punk, is non of my business.....
Depending on my "Yao" level, even if I know he is the one actually cancel my job, if my "Yao" level very high, just take and go......
Knn, pile of bill waiting to be settle, still want to bother about all this company matter?.....

They are the 1 need taxi badly......

I also don't hv the habit of calling pax,reach destination if bo lang then press "no show" n move off liao
during peak hrs there are many calls waiting for me lol
Only for adv booking I will call pax after 5mins of waiting

Sometimes I call..But usually the response can be quite rude..Like., "coming coming" then slam phone. Some even dun talk, just cut off the phone...But, when they board my cab finally, I usually dun bring this up to them. Just Drive.....

u mean u will pick up any other available pax or just move off from the area without picking anyone even if there's pax nearby the pick up area?

My philosophy of driving taxi....
Any pax on board (sound familiar hor) is a plus to my daily intake....
There's no such thing that by picking up a pax, will ended up losing money.....
So indirectly, it answer your question....
Of course if I want to go against money, I can choose to ignore any pax on sight but what will I gain by doing that?.....

by encouraging such tactics fr paxs,the more they will do it.in the end td lose out!so my philosophy is to put to busy or quickly take the next call!so that the idiot pax don't have the chance to flag down my taxi!

ang mo are getting poorer by the days lah..what we hv here are mostly chao ka or cannot make it in their own country, knn...when I was in LA, so many ang mo beggar begging u for money on the street, lagi shiok. -
