As a TD, I'm also confused with the various starting charges, location charges and booking charges imposed by different taxi companies. It's become a disarray state of affair. If I were a taxi commuter, the cheapest would to take a sampan or sonata. Shake head
sampan and sonata TDs may even give better service. Wonder if LTA did a survey on this?

TAxi trade already privatised long long ago liao hor, prices and way of business is also privatised liao,..if stall A sells $3 per bowl of fishball noodle, stall B sells $4 and stall C sells $5..it is up to you to choose which to eat, this is call privatisation. That include taxi companies, but if you find stall C nice to eat and willing to pay $5, it is up to you, you are customer.

Taxi fare only form a very small portion (some say peanut) within our daily expenditure.....
People can just spent $12.50 per ticket to catch a movie, somemore can buy pop corn combo at $10......
Than after show, sit taxi kpkb, "Uncle, why your $3.90?"......

As long as you are not confused when it's time to collect the fare, that's already good enough liao.. Don't be confused till give wrong change hor.. either less or more also rugi..

Paid high erp, high coe, high road tax, high insurance, high gst and still pay you carpark, tan ku ku, lai lor, want to summon, lai lor, limpeh park here wait for you.

yalor, like west coast park, bishan parks, telok blangh hill..knn, i see people park there and walk home to their HDB, exercise so more...phui..
Remember Singaporean buy car is a luxury, not a benefit or necessities, luxury implied can how lian, can show off, can go anywhere anytime, dun need to see those cb taxi driver faces, no need to Q with bangalas, no need to squeez with indian workers...
