Use health criterion to determine taxi lifespan
I TOOK a Toyota Crown taxi to the airport and felt nauseous by the end of the 20-minute trip due to the severe vibration of the vehicle ("Toyota Crowns exiting taxi scene soon"; last Saturday).
The driver said he was affected by the vibration too and could hardly walk straight by the end of each shift. But he had no choice as all new drivers were assigned this model.
The statutory lifespan of a taxi is eight years, after which it must be replaced. Are there other criteria, such as the drivers' health, to determine taxi lifespans?

A taxi must be comfortable to drive with in order to prolong driving on the road....
And the pattern of driving also differ a lot with different kind of taxi....
