quite common mistake many TDs do.
TDs must seriously learn how to manage their time, balance between loving themselves and $
for the sake of more $, coupled with the high cost, they are putting more time OTR, lesser time for leisure and exercise.
AT LEAST ONCE A WEEK FOR SOME PHYSICAL EXERCISE

I couldn't agree more
i always tell people, our trade is no diff from a hawker
hands stop mouth stop
work like theres no tomorrow. no rest day or off day, PH and weeked, people rest, we work as its usually a more crowded time.
working people gets special rates, or a (weekday off) when they work on weekends or PH, we get more work at same rate, only evening and CBD surcharges

Worst than hawker,we are more like Geylang CAT 50 hookers or even worse. One example,if a nasty pax on board,at least have to tahan 30mins-45mins to off load the pax.For Geylang CAT 50,they tahan 25mins.

Yes, I am a scum bag, yes, I am low class, yes, I got not dignity, and yes, I never exercise..and so on. All these are negative perspectives of your own creation.
If there are thousand of TDs on the road driving with passion, happy and still got time to socialise and be exercise, just like me and keepthechange type of people, then why can't you?
There is a reason for 4 months Q for a new i40, renault, k5, and so on hor, and these reasons will definitely not about getting oneself with no dignity, being label a scum of the society and no self time even to PCC.
It is all in your brain, so wake up yr brain and drive on, careless what other look at you, make time for yourself to exercise, trade you money with your health is more worthy then trading your health with money on the road.
There are choices in life, never take the negative ones, once imprinted, it will alway give you a negative impression on everything,

don't demote yourself that low
yes it does happens at times, not often though
Yes, look at your hands and ask yourself, I earn a honest living all by myself, then cry and drive on.
?if I go exercise, then evening peak hour all gone! If work 8 hrs only enough to cover rental and petrol!

And take that day to have some exercise and personal life.
no passion?
tts why.
want a life in Taxi Driving
1) Be a relief or get a relief
2) work on 12 hrs shift
3) Give yourself a proper rest during this 12 hrs shift, 45mins to an hours of meal break, 15-30 mins of coffee break every 3-4 hours of driving.
4) As a relief, only ask for 5-6 working days. For hirer, got to get a weekend relief
most important...........
5) Spend, budget your expenses base on the income on 12 hours shift
People feel sacrifices, no life, not getting respect....etc are all begin that they over stretch themselves on their expecting income.
At any job/business, we should expect our income base on a reasonable working hours, live on a life base on the potential income from this reasonable working hours.
Yes, as a taxi driver. Base on a reasonable working hours, our potential income is.......peanut. But that is whats the society is offering, we got to learn to live with it.
Else, we can always keep finding for a better payout. If there isn't, that means...... Taxi Driving is the best you can get at this moment, so be happy about it.
Respect yourself first even if others do not respect you. You cannot control what others think.
Greet every pax with a smile, no matter how tired. Help them with the luggage cheerfully. Then you may be surprised that at the end of the trip from AP to Tampines, the pax will give you $50 and say, "keep the change". It has happened to me, hope it can happen to everyone.

pal, best exercise is swimming, swim an hour in the day(off peak), sleep one hour, u can carry on again.
another is weekend morning, go do your exercise, no peak hour to worry about.
its hard to do it, but some times u must 'see open'

Ok, later will start the debate of OMO and relief again....
TS is partly right....
99% of TD sure got some "background" before turning to taxi driving....
I don't say we are the scums of society....
In fact, we are the creater of the scums....
Dear TDs Bro’s and Sis’s,
Being a TD is a tough job like any profession. Do not degrade yourself or feel dis-heartened that this is an inferior profession. We are providing a personalized transport service to commute our client from point A to point B at the best shortest possible route to reach the client’s intended destination.
It’s a decent job and making an honest living.
Don’t think that a CEO of a big organization or a high-earner don’t have their problems. They, too, face the same problem.
There’ll always be black sheep in any profession you’re in. It’s all about balancing our assets and liabilities, ensuring our working capitals are always in the black. It’s also about balancing our time.
Whether you’re OMO, a Relief or having a relief… as long as you’re comfortable with this arrangement, just be happy with what you’re doing.
Important thing is whether: are you happy with what you’re doing? If no, then what are you doing about it? It’s a personal decision. Once decided, you have to be responsible for this decision.
However, never, never compromise your dignity. Protect and preserve it at all cost. Cheers.
