they go by call booking lor.....got call, then go in....actually much better right?
for such places, maybe those queue ticket system is good?
pax will press a queue ticket machine, cab will still get booking fees and come only when there is a pax.
for that $3 surcharge, how many will drive in empty to get that?
it becomes an additional income, rather than fees to cover the trip in....

Got a point, otherwise those cabs with SC for these areas can go there q. TMFT, not a place where u book a cab, u can get it. Too way off. GBTB, better chance

There are many other locations that should implement surcharges:
1. Jurong Bird Park.
2. Zoo.
3. Woodlands Checkpoint.
4. Punggol Jetty.
5. Jurong Island.
6. Singapore Turf Club (or maybe not cos got many taxi unker there).
7. Loyang Offshore Supply Base.

What I think is, they should abolish all surcharge....
Bring up meter fare to a reasonable level....
Once every location, destination equal to equal fare for everybody, than no point to siam here and there anymore.....
And including Changi Airport also, abolish all surcharge.....

Gentlemen,
Taxis companies work in this way, first they up the rental, TD kpkb, but still drive on, then slowly they up the flag down and implement surcharges plus increase the km rates.
And all along Drivers had been paying high rental even before they up the fares, surcharges and rates, drivers therefore, are at a lost.
And when drivers finally break even with the rental fare, and some of them consider as HUAT, which I think is not huat but merely to compensate the high rental.
Once breakeven, drivers can breathe better, Taxis companies will again increase rental and play the game again.
This is how profit are make, for us, we are just part of their machine

For taxi, Hybrid is a good way to go....

Division DSM different mah, seat beside Division commander one hor, smlj Regiment SM, most end up driving taxis..lols.
To be swift and lean, need a battalion for fark, just a few like us already can sabotage a battalion of pool's army liao, why need a battalion, sometime in life, the smaller the better hor, but for women, must be big.
