I've been in customer care services in umpteen years before becoming a TD. Customers may be right most of the time but not all the time. If they go over-board on their demands, you should not suffer in silence. Reason out with them in a subtly manner. My policy is that if they use vurgarity to put you down, it's a no, no situation. As this is construed to be an act of verbal violence

It is because all these TD try this stunts and that stunts, from backlane to small road also turn and twist, paxs taking those taxis going by simple normal road will tend to ask "Uncle, why are you going this way?" Then when you ask them, 'Oh, sori, then which ways you use to travel" Then they will reply, "I also not sure, because the other taxi driver use these lane in, then turn right, then left, very fast and quick..." Haiz.
In our survey in accident dept, there are 3common ways taxi get knocked or knock into others. First, like all other drivers, changing of lanes.
Second, junctions from cross junction to T junction and so on.

Can use The Alexcier ( 237 Alexandra Rd ) to cut thru Leng kee Rd. Because the entry is by Alexandra Rd and Exit only thru Leng Kee Rd. -

i think its better go by normal route, unless at times, pax knows better, wanting to save time (fare), will direct u to some shorter route.
Those pax that knows the route better, and have preferred route, will give u specific instructions or direct u as that route is proven better, in terms of traffic lights or fare savings to them.
otherwise some popular short cut route which u are familiar with like cutting thru NUS into Science Park 2, coming from Clementi Road(Bt Timah), instead of going down into the narrow P.Panjang route, best is ask pax for preference.
sometimes a 'short cut can be a wrong cut'. Try to work to your advantage.

common issue we faced with another kind of pax when asked preferred route, they say FASTEST or SHORTEST route possible.
so it becomes your responsibility to decide for them. But some, along the way, will question your choice of route, u end up dumb struck, but again u can defend your choice of route by saying pax themselves didn't specify specific route, and therefore u chose based on your best knowledge...
eg using NUS as example ... Pick up from Shaw Foundation ( near to Heng Mui Keng, aka P. Panjang side) heading to say Tanglin Mall..
Route preference, fastest route... (Sometimes shortest route can mean more traffic lights too), less possible road conditions beyond our control
u swing to (main road) Clementi rd ASAP, then Ulu Pandan....
pax will suddenly question u when u at Clementi ulu Pandan junction, when never go by buona vista to holland rd route.. Meaning pax wanted to go through the small winding route in the campus to get onto buona vista and then proceed on with the journey...

I'm fine with major road n expressway but its those simi street 10, street 11 that are making me blur. In the end I always use my iPhone google map to search while driving. I know it's dangerous when 1 hand on steering and another on handphone. Any advise? I intend to use MDT but I scare pax angry while waiting for me to key in the location. So I drive while typing into my Iphone.

Today is Saturday. Picked an ang moh pax at Gopeng (Tg Pagar) to Paragon at 5:02 pm. Upon boarding, he asked, what's the extra $3? I explained that it's CBD city surcharge after 5pm. He was not happy and exclaimed that I was the first one to impose the $3 surcharge as he has been taking cabs all these while for the past one and half year. I told him that he can always check with the regulators, and that I have no commemts with his experience with other cab drivers before. Upon reaching his destination, he asked why now the surcharge is $4? I explained that $3 is CBD surcharge and $1 is ERP. He quai quai paid for the fare before saying it's a ripped off. I smiled at him and said thank you, please have a good everning

Education is not about people not educated, it is about whether they choose to apply the education learned or abuse it. And most choose the later, for eg, an education indian, much higher educated then me, should be polite and well manner due to his education background, but his education in another way had make him become a arrogant and look down on other in a way that he is alway on top.
And when he abused his education on a TD, what is the end result? I dun even bother to answer him nor talk to him, just paid me the money stated on the meter, being less educated, at least, I will say thank you.
If you treat me like a robot, I shall treat you like one, no feeling nor emotion involve, if you get emotionally upset or angry, you just fell into their educational abusing trap

Farking need energy and temper fare also end up with bad health, why need to fark him back and waste our energy for nothing, it a simply equation, either you paid or let go police station to settle, give the police some job, if not later they go nothing to do go kovan and kill rich peoples.
And to all these FT and FW are scare to get into police records and laws, use your sense to deal with thing, not just fuck for the sake of fcuking, then later got heart attack and stroke for nothing, only more jobs for me.
