A cheeky monkey is terrorising an apartment block in China as he has snatched food, toys and even a kitten from residents.
The primate first started visiting the flats in Shunde, a city in the Guangdong province of southern China, last month.
According to residents, the monkey wanders around the neighbourhood and if he sees anything that he wants to eat or that he could play with, he just steals it.
Despite originally being afraid of cats and dogs, the monkey has now become fearless.
He is often seen cradling a kitten in his arms and prowling the streets as if nobody else is there.
The cat's mother has made many attempts to get her baby back and has even fought with the two foot tall creature several times.
However, she is yet to be successful - leaving the kitten in the care of the confused monkey.
As well as taking pets, the primate has also stolen cat and dog food.
Residents have been forced to keep their doors shut to prevent the seemingly cute monkey from stealing things from their apartments.
It is believed that the monkey was once kept by someone but has been abandoned, as he still has a collar round his neck.
As a result, neighbours have sympathised with the monkey's situation and have offered him food and water.
Despite this, the monkey has lost weight.
Residents describe their relationship with the primate as being somewhere between love and hate.
They explained that this is because he is both fierce and cute at the same time.
They are concerned that if they do anything to resolve the situation they may harm both the monkey and the kitten, so have appealed to local authorities to take them away as soon as possible.
