Miserable moggie Grumpy Cat can afford to crack a smile after earning her owner an alleged £64 million thanks to her unlikely internet fame.
Internet celebrity Grumpy Cat might finally crack a smile when she realises how much money she’s earned for her owner.
The unlikely career of Grumpy - real name Tardar Sauce – took off two years ago with a YouTube video which has been viewed over 15 million times.
A bestselling book, an iced coffee brand called Grumppuccino and even a film (Grumpy Cat’s Worst Christmas) has since followed, all of which have earned her owner Tabatha Bundesen an estimated £64 million.
The pet cat also has its own agent.
“She’s unstoppable,” Bundesen, from Morristown, Arizona, told the Express
“What she’s achieved in such a short time is unimaginable and absolutely mind-blowing.
“I was able to quit my job as a waitress within days of her first appearance on social media and the phone simply hasn’t stopped ringing since.”
Bundesen added: “People take one look at her and fall in love, even if they actually think she’s pug ugly.”
But Bundesen denies that her miserable moggy has bagged £64 million ... enough cash to buy footballer Cristiano Ronaldo.
Whilst refusing to divulge actual figures, Bundesen said she's thinking about totting up earnings in a full TV interview - a performance which would undoubtedly add to the bottom line.
Grumpy, whose downbeat expression is due to feline dwarfism, now earns more than many Hollywood A-list stars and recently topped Time Magazine’s list of ‘Most Influential Animals’ for the second year running.
