SINGAPORE: It was a mass cat walk at Bukit Panjang on Sunday as 300 pet owners took their feline companions out for a brisk walk.
The 'Care for Cats Walk' event, organised by the North West Community Development Council (CDC), aimed to raise awareness on responsible cat ownership.
Twenty cats joined their owners in a 2.3km walk early Sunday morning.
There was also a cat pageant for the felines to strut their stuff.
The
pageant aimed to highlight the importance of caring for abandoned cats,
and featured several re-homed and rescued cats in the district.
Mayor of North West District Dr Teo Ho Pin launched the event.
