My friend just buy a big packet of friskies, to feed his 2 cats.
Just buy cat food lor. Its best to let them stick to their cat food, cause certain foods we can take they can't... so its better not to gamble...
If you want to spoil them, give them the science diet which costs quite a lot..~

Tinned food is not bad too but dry food should be the staple.
My boy loves chicken wings, but the girl doesn;t even look at it. Make sure they are RAW as the cooked bones are soft and can easily cut their throats. -

Snowy got crystals from Friskies and Whiskas rubbish.
Another cat i knew was fed Whiskas singles all the time and she got crystals too. Bloody things is so bad for them.
Now i only give her Hills dry food. Seems like that's all she likes now. Much better cos it's not wet, stinky and icky when she doesn't finish it. -
I feed them fellidae - wet n dry food, science diet - hairball treatment dry food, kitten dry food, Fancy Feast for a treat sometimes and white fish meat for a treat sometimes...
one of them likes durian too so he gets one when we eat durians.

hehe some cats are so greedythey'll eat anything. my cat loves potato chips, but its too salty for her..,
Hill's is a good brand so stick to it if your cat's thriving. You can tell with her coat, and her size if it's doing well.
I don't give my cats hairball prevention..actually the food is simply 'oilier' so that the hairball can be spitted out more easily? After winter they shed alot of hair so I think they started gettin hairballs but were fine after that. If ur cat doesn't have problems vomitting hairballs then it doesn't need the special food. -

The hairball food ... It seems to work for my cats...even with combing evryday, they used to throw up hairballs every week.... after the hairball food was introduced its been cut down by alot....very rarely now. -

what's "crystals" in cats? how'd you know if the cat has it? is it dangerous?

It's crystals in the urine. It's when they try to pee but can't...and just sit sadly at the litter box for like 10 mins. Then there's blood in their urine. Poor baby..the vet had to take a urine sample god it was ugly. She was poked left right and centre. -

I just realised the difference in fancy feast. It is Fancy feast royale vs just plain fancy feast. She wouldn't touch the plain ones (URGH)
Yeah she kept coughing the fur up at the end of winter.. i was wondering if furball food would help or something. Hills is fantastic for her. There's one which is bigger in size and she cleans her teeth with it. I doubt she would touch chicken wings... very picky cat. -

She's so resilient that little baby.
Happy birthday to her. 2 years ago i took her out of the RSPCA, she was all skin and bones.. now she's fluffy cat. I suspect she had been living in the streets for a long time. Cos she was and is still quite neurotic but extremely loving. Now i think she's about 6 years old. -

both will have very bad hair ball problems if I dont comb everyday and feed hairball control food...plus I feed them grass and this medicine - gell that the vet gave me to ease their hairball problems.
At its worse it was one hairball a day each...now its better...one every two or three weeks only....it was a nightmare finding hairballs everyday..cleaning cleaning...

I stopped feeding my cat fancy feast some time ago... cos i noticed he shed a lot of fur and doesn't really enjoy the food... have changed to brands I can find in pet shops instead.... esp the Japanese brands... he loves those...

canned food .. Whiskers or Friskies and also cat biscuits. my dad's cat is particular about his food, he like pure tuna, chicken, prawns. Don't like sardines and anything with jelly in it. The canned food is mixed with some rice and sometimes, just throw in 1 piece of vege. He likes biscuits and we trained him to shake hands for biscuits.
The can has difficulty dealing with bones as its teeth is not strong to chew it. If its a greedy cat, it might try to eat the bones and sometimes this will choke it. So don't give cats bones.. especially house cats. When they gag and/or use their paws to try to scratch their muzzle, its means something is lodge in its mouth and its trying to throw it up. Its quite gross.
