How to bathe a cat (Instuctions vs Reality)

i like both cats and dogs, there was this dog some time ago, huge dog, i was wearing this jrocker hyde tshirt, with his big face, and the dog kept barking at me.. ran a short distance, barked at me again, ran away a lil and barked at me again, and so on.
initially, i tot it was gonna chase me.. bt its the opposite way. dunnoe to laugh or cry. juz stared in amazement. there were some cats too, fed it with fish sometimes, and i could like carry it. really adorable. -

nowadays i think he's just lazy... and at my parents' new place, the shower has got a nice solid glass door that he can't get out of... so i guess he "ren ming le"... hehehe

Prepare extra warm water... I know my cat like things really warm ...
He don't mind the bathing part but don't like the drying part.
He used to sit in the pail of almost hot water and let the water be poured over him.
Use care not to get water into the ears.
After that, usually to keep him warm and dry him fast (he's a mix breed with rather thick fur)
We had to use a hair dryer. Of course, he would not be happy
If you let him lick himself dry, his "sai" will be soggy too and it takes hours...
Licking also cause he to eat a lot of his fur and then later he will cough out hair balls.
One way to reduce fur loss is to ensure there is loads of fish oils in the diet... and more
if the cat is a long fur, thick coat type.
Most cats are very clean and cleaning is like their horly routine. The vets advised to wash them about 1 time a month... or 3 months ... cause everytime they are washed, they loose the natural oils that protect them -

But there's no way i'm putting snowy through the trauma of getting a bath.

Cat and water are no no no..
She won't even go out when it's raining. You want me to put her in a big tub of water. OMG.. she's old, neurotic and from the RSPCA, if she was a kitten and she can get used to being manhandled into the tub it's ok... i'll consider it. Snowy might run away from home. I don't know anyone who bathes their cats and there are heaps of cat owners amongst my friends. Actually all of them have at least one cat. -
Don't need to bathe the cat ! They groom themselves. Just brush them regularly to prevent hairballs.

How to Bathe Your Cat (Part Deux)
Thoroughly clean the toilet.
Add shampoo to the toilet water and leave both lids up.
Obtain the cat and soothe him while you carry him towards the bathroom.
In one smooth movement, put the cat in the toilet and close both lids (you may need to stand on the lid so that he cannot escape).
Keep all your body parts completely clear the edge, as his paws will be reaching out for any thing they can find.
Flush the toilet three or four times, providing a "power wash and rinse."
Have someone open the door to the outside and ensure that there are no people, antiques or other valuables between the toilet and the outside door.
Stand behind the toilet as far as you can, and quickly lift both lids.
The now-clean cat will rocket out of the toilet, and run outside where he will dry himself.
