I would bring it to the hosptial immediately...
alternatively a person could also call The Cat Welfare Society for help with it.
Their mission is :
[b]The Cat Welfare Society is a charity, run almost entirely by volunteers, who want to improve the welfare of stray cats in Singapore. Our members believe that no animal should be denied food and water, shelter and space; no animal deserves to be abandoned or abused. All stray cats deserve our compassion and protection, and we believe that there are humane, more effective ways to control their population that is, by sterilisation instead of destruction.
Every person should be encouraged to treat animals with kindness and respect. We hope that one day, with your help, there will no longer be unwanted strays on the streets, vulnerable to neglect and abuse. Every cat should have a loving home or safe shelter where it can live without suffering or fear.

agree...Originally posted by MeoW_MeoW:hmmm... not sure what i would do as i never encounter such case yet... anyway, on SPCA website it says their service includes "A 24 hour Ambulance service for sick, injured and very young animals which are rescued and brought to the SPCA consultant veterinarian"... so i don't think they will just put animals to sleep without trying to save them first...
i think i have spoken to them b4,not much help.Originally posted by KittynMeow:
hmm... not so sure abt that.... one of my friends brought her 6-year old dog to mt pleasant and the vets there say no cure for the skin condition, need to put down.Originally posted by High_Octane:Well, you can't blame them. They got lots of issues at hand.
I usually bring cats to Paya Lebar.
But for emergency cases, I bring them to Mount Pleasant. Expensive, but at least I know the cats are in good hands.
I'll try to get a picture of Kiwi (the Siamese) and Melon ( the three leg cat) and post it up here.
Currently we are looking after 8++ cats in our allocated area.
I have similar experience like that too...a cat fell 12 storeys down, in really bad shape...Mount Pleasant said cannot help already must put down but that cat reallly was a fighter...so I brought it to James tan and they worked on it...took a very long time, alot of $ and alot of care but the little fella survived.I would go back to James Tan if I really want to save the cat.Originally posted by KittynMeow:hmm... not so sure abt that.... one of my friends brought her 6-year old dog to mt pleasant and the vets there say no cure for the skin condition, need to put down.
Disbelieving, she brought it to James Tan and the condition was cured. The dog lived to its ripe old age.
well...if it really is in bad shape it would really be to call the spca or ava (very slim chance of the cat surviving- most likely to be put down)Originally posted by ratinacage:what happens if someone picks up a stray dying on the road but has no $$$ to bring her to a vet/animal hospital?
Any of them in Jurong?Originally posted by High_Octane:Well, you can't blame them. They got lots of issues at hand.

I'll have to know more about what you all do from the Jurong division first... let me know about it..~Originally posted by High_Octane:Not too sure about Jurong area...
we got our hands full here. We basically have a "head" here which updates us on the status of area like what the town council is saying, blah blah.
So we dun really interact with the Jurong side people.
You may want to be a volunteer and help us in our mission.
