Very very young. barely a few months old...Originally posted by KittynMeow:how old are the kittens?? my cat is 8 years old and may bully much younger cats cos he's become rather possessive and territorial ever since he lost his partner....
think it'll be more difficult than that.... cos if too young i can't take them in... my Xi Xi will sit on them... literally... he's abt 10 kg now... hahaha...Originally posted by _Aaron_:Very very young. barely a few months old...
Hmm, maybe after being scratched a bit, your cat will slowly take care of them... but then again, this will take quite a lot of time. The introduction that is..
true... and cats on the streets rarely survive more than 3-4 years.... cos of exposure to weather, traffic etc.. sigh... really sad...Originally posted by _Aaron_:I worry for the poor kitten that gets sat on a 10kg pal..
Nowadays only got lobangs for kittens, cause cats people just dump on the streets i guess... Kittens are more vulnerable~
... i can feel the love for your xixi just by reading what you type. Heh. i'm Getting a bit jealous over hereOriginally posted by KittynMeow:true... and cats on the streets rarely survive more than 3-4 years.... cos of exposure to weather, traffic etc.. sigh... really sad...
hahaha.. Xi Xi is rather gentle.... more playful than anything... he'll only attempt to sit on someone when he's trying to say "I want that chair for my nap" kekekeke

hahahaa speaking of which... i got home yesterday after a 3-day camp and the minute Xi Xi saw me, he refused to let me out of his sight... followed me and shadowed me everywhere i go around the house... and when i finally sat down, he decided to plomp himself on my lap and sleep there so that i can't go anywhere.... hahahaOriginally posted by _Aaron_:... i can feel the love for your xixi just by reading what you type. Huh? The other cat... scratch? hmm.Originally posted by KittynMeow:sigh.... my attempt to introduce "friends" to Xi Xi unfortunately failed last night....
even before Xi Xi made a sound, the other cat already went into aggressive mode and started yowling... even though she is normally a very quiet and sweet cat....
fortunately the only casualty was me.... the cats were unhurt but my hands are now trying to recover from the scratches and bites the other cat gave me when I separated them to prevent a fight..... sigh....
poor Xi Xi.... he'll have to be a lone pet....
I know... I would have liked to... if not for the fact that my mom's scolding voice was ringing even louder than the cats' yowling for more than 1 hour....Originally posted by _Aaron_:Huh? The other cat... scratch? hmm.
You know Kitty... (eh this feels strange). Let them fight. After they fight they will bond well together de.
Sounds strange, but if you don't want him to be lonely ar, let them fight. But then again, may have adverse effects...
Maybe the very quiet and sweet cat ... put on a face for you only! Her real face come out when she sees another cat...~~
Sounds like they're not fated together. When you get your own place, rear 10 kitties k? ^_^Originally posted by KittynMeow:I know... I would have liked to... if not for the fact that my mom's scolding voice was ringing even louder than the cats' yowling for more than 1 hour....
and also from past experience of Xi Xi's encounter with other cats.... it depends on how much the other cat fears Xi Xi... some will fight and then be alright... this one belonged to the unforgiving category... looking at how she panicked and how aggressive she was....so I decided to give up and return her to her previous owner before she gets hurt.... he's still looking for someone to adopt her because he's going back to HK and won't be able to bring her....v sad...
sigh... mebbe when I get my own place and I'll think about it again... that will have to wait quite a while I think....
Fighting and hissing occur if you don't introduce them gradually. U need to keep the new one in a separate room for a few days and let them smell each other's things. Cats are VERY territorial...but luckily it took only 1 day for cats to like each other. THe younger they are the easier it is to like each other. Let them eat and play near the door, gradually leave the door slightly open for them to see each other but they cant hurt each other and they will feel safe. Soon they will start to like each other! Because they are not pack animals like dogs, they will need to be gradually introduced.Originally posted by KittynMeow:sigh.... my attempt to introduce "friends" to Xi Xi unfortunately failed last night....
