Huang Na's stepdad - Zheng Wen Hai admitted that he had been jailed in Singapore in 1999 for overstaying and being involved in a crime.
He said his jail term was for two years and four months, but declined to say if he had been caned.
Mr Zheng's admission came after weeks of insisting that he did not know why his visa application took so long to be approved.
A reporter in China had told the New Paper that his visa application was delayed because of prior immigration offence in Singapore.
But Mr Zheng's response had always been consistent:"No, i've never been to Singapore or been convicted of a crime."
It was only after many interviews that he let slip that he "visited" Singapore once several years ago, as a tourist.
Mr Zheng had 2 counts of criminal offences in Singapore. One is overstaying when his visa expired. Another one was robbery with accomplices! However, he claimed that it was a misunderstanding.

I never said he "must" reveal the money, i also never said he should reveal cuz "he owes all of us big time". I said very clearly in that post that the owing issue and the revealing $$ are TWO SEPARATE ISSUES! Are u so dumb u cant understand it? I think u either never really read my post in that other thread or u got problem understanding simple stuff (prolly the latter). I've mentioned that I highly doubt this guy's "honesty", and now this is just another evidence to prove he's one big fcuking liar.
And for those who keep saying "so what has it got to do with Huang Na's murder", I juz got to say - NOBODY SAID IT GOTTA DO WITH HER DEATH ! This is juz to reveal the guy's character and question his credibility.

questions to ponder over reg this case:
1) isnt he busy with business in china thus cant come over to look for huang na?? if he's a business man, no excuse being so poor that he cant afford a funeral for huang na... y is he seeking help from singaporeans to pay for funeral??
2) how is huang na's mother linked to the case when she said before that she trusted ah hao to take care of her daughter when she's not around in spore coz ah hao is nie to her daughter.... yet when ah hao is found, she pointed finger at ah hao and said he's the murderer!!
3) huang na's mother got money to fly to and fro to china to visit family yet claims that she "no money" to arrange proper funeral for huang na... how is it so??
anyone got answers fr my doubts?? -
