me see my collik so depressed liddat, so dat time me passed by a shop see got sell a musical box wif crystal angels den got beri consoling scriptures sumore.
den u know lah. me beri sweet person rite.
den me buy fer him to cheer him up loh.
den hor, he brought home rite. he told his wife me buy one loh. she oso know me one mah. den she say liddat muz kip properly...
and she locked it up in her drawer!!!

Try not to indulge too much. Was that a musical box u gave? In anyway, as personal rule, I dont give someone else who has a spouse or partner something excessive or worth more than what the partner gives, expecially on occasions such as birthday.
It might make the partner feel embarassed, even worse if all the presents are made known by our circle of friends.
Besides, while you may have good intention, do think for the couples relationship. Do give presents, its allright, but dont indulge in spending on something expensive. -
