Yeah, well, I suppose they're mechanical analogues of electric motors.
You need reels that can provide high torque to handle heavier and more violent breeds of fish. You also need reels that are more refined with high RPMs to handle smaller breeds of fish to make sure you catch them before they can shake themselves loose.
Does that sound about right?

when MPB first bought it ? .... my guess is around 900 to 1200 .....
it should be slightly ... but only slightly, cheaper now .....
all the three reels costs roughly the same now ....
the accurate was the most expensive because of one piece milled machining etc, instead of cold forged or cast frame ...

yeah ... I think the price's down a bit cos of the weaker USD now ..... plus the competition from the japanese in the heavy duty jigging segment .... used to be that the accurate got the most powerful drag on the market .... and it was the best money could buy then ...
I'm looking forward to this ......
i don't spend much on clothes or consumer electronics or other stuff like that .... and I haven't spent much on fishing for a long time too .... ever since we started dating, actually ...
it'll be my last big ticket purchase for fishing for quite some time to come I suppose, now that I'm a married man ....

well ... now she knows when I sneak out in the middle of the night or come back at dawn .....
I'll be smelling of fish and stale cigarettes instead of alcohol and stale cigarettes .....

well, during my church's live-in marriage prep course with fatumnette, I got to know a whole new bunch of fishing buddies, including the lecturing priest ... who is an avid angler too ....
I think fatumnette got the idea from them that it's better and quite beneficial that I go out to fish and enjoy the great outdoors than to engage in some other more destructive hobbies .... like going out to lup sup bars ...

Anyway, it's always healthy in a relationship to be able to do the things you like and also some free time away from each other

took tookie to the vet yesterday ..... he was shedding more fur than normal .... I was sneezing non-stop ....
there were a bunch of kids who brought along a stray doggie they picked up to be checked out by the vet, and then they gave it a bath and grooming session at the adjoining pet shop .....
nice, well-meaning kids, probably from some poly or JC .....though I wonder if one of them got into trouble last night for picking up a stray and bringing it home ....
they are hoping to look for someone to adopt the doggie ...

my thought is that the kid din get any trouble as they are able to spend more time with doggy as they brought them to the vet early in the morning... school time somemore :D
probably parents are animal lovers.. kids will sayang dog and make so much effort on a stray dog :D

any wife would be okay with husband with healthy hobbies with good kakis, ,,,rather than drinking at bars/pubs, or worse, webchatting with gals/ex-girlfriends (at home)..
