Sigh.... I've already told my students that I cannot give them lesson handouts, and that their own lecturer was the one who ordered me not to do so.
And I still get emails from people asking me for lesson handouts.
Which part of 'Lesson handouts will not be given out, by order from Prof XXX' do they not understand?

you'll be surprised.. the idiots up on top like these types of people.. they say these people are "tenacious" and will not "take no for an answer"
because these people do not badger the idiots on top...
Anyway, I will be invigilating a test soon.
I've already warned my students about not doing cockanaden things like going to the wrong venue, handing in their answer scripts with the wrong class, or writing their answers in the margins of their question papers.
Based on past experience, I get the feeling that my warnings will fall on a few deaf ears....

They are everywhere...
from school, to workplace, to everywhere...

tenacious?
by bugging the lecturer??
pfft
I hate such fellow students.
My lecturer refused to give the answers to the tutorial questions, to all our dismay. So being the tenacious me, I worked everything out on my own first, and then CALLED him yesterday afternoon, begged for 5 min of his time, showed him my work, waited for him to say ok, correct, and it works out pretty much the same as any tutorial session WITH answers...but with the benefit of him explaining a little more to me.
Email?
Email is for people who are not interested in taking a greater interest in learning. And handouts are for people who love to be spoonfed.

no.. in the workforce..
when they keep bugging you over stuff you are not allowed to do, either legally or ethically...
That's dumb.
But then loads of dumb people abound.
Hey fudge, I mean....they removed the rubbish bins on Tuesday?
Yeah....that's the fresh local talent grads for you.
Some of the FT are trash....but then so are some of the locals.
Maybe if I'm the govt, I would be more willing to subsidise FTs.
Can you imagine what the resume of the weed-smoker says: As the chairman of ^^^^^^^, I managed to win a motion to deprive students of rubbish bins........
WHAT RUBBISH
I told u...
I see Dumb ppl...
They are everywhere...
and the scariest part is, they dunno that they are Dumb!
hey acid...i heard u kept on calling for me in sb is it????whats it about???!!me damn busy with experiments and production...
As it is, here's a blog post of one of those bitchy students.
I showed a friend this and we agreed that while it is somewhat accurate, its rather kao bei and the fellow was probably guilty of the same things.

curious...do the students use short forms or icons like how we use them in text messages in their answer scripts?

LOL!
I give it 50-50. Hell, if your classmate is doing something silly or something wrong, why not yell at them?
I did that once on a classmate who was always eating and din realise that the crumpling and crushing sound of the plastic bag was damn annoying.
Yeah... an angry shrek is a scary shrek...
time to go spend ah gong's money and have lunch with the guys in my team

All kinds of irritating people.
People who enter the class and refuse to sit down.
People chatting.
People giggling.
People crinkling plastic bags.
In general, the more well-behaved classes are those in my honours modules....which shldn't come as a surprise.
Which only underscores the need to ration places in tertiary education. But of course, the dumb ones at SC will never be able to understand that.
