My relative was joking
June 2011 proved to be KTM's one and only profitable month lol.
my sis-in-law's hubster from kulang too ....
but frankly ... it's all due to their goverment's bloody-mindedness .....
if they had played nice .... the train would still be a very good transportation mode for both sides ....
imagine containers loaded up north .... and directly offloaded onto ships down at tanjong pagar ....both sides wins ...
but they chose instead to play an adversarial game ...... too bad ...
52 more days and we'll let 1st water agreement to lapse for good w/o any renewal.

Or maybe warehouses at Kranji instead?
Since there's lots of feedering vessels from say Klang to Singapore, since Singapore is a much better transhipment hub.

sure ... no COE, cheaper fuel .... but Singapore goods vehicles still can't into malaysia ... say you're a small time magazine printer for example ... would save you a lot of cost to get your stuff printed in malaysia and shipped out to singapore .... I actually explored that back when i was doing that travel mag thingy ...
wonder which side said no ? ...
They did not tear down the old Woodlands Customs to handle these lorries.
Morning to abt 4pm to handle inbound, evening for outbound traffic.
ok, am off for dessert. ta!
after eating 2 expensive small pieces of teriyaki chicken at a doggies cafe at 4.30pm,,,,i am hungry now.

M'sia side I guess.
Thing is, most of your mileage is clocked in M'sia.
That's why I think they wanted a stake in bus 170's business, but for this case, 80% of the journey is clocked in Singapore.
Actually for some industries, it may not be worthy to do the job in M'sia if yours is a very localised thing. But if you've cross border biz like for YHS, then it's a diff story.
But YHS still manufacture their atas and PET bottled drinks in Singapore.
