sometimes in such situation, esp in upnorth... they just have to shoot to save the kids.
But sometimes, is it worth it... e kids grow up remembering that gunshooting scene.

NB .... I dug out one of my suit jackets that I bought back in pluto for some golden key society thingy back then ..... I thought I'd bring it over to bangkok to have the tailor alter things a bit ...
then, I discovered .... that the off the shelf suit, was actually "made in china" ! ....

arent most of the stuff u use, eat, touch and own are made in china
that's what scares me ....
lots of things are from PRC these days
But we still have a choice

I once made my own fishing rod .....
but a suit ?!?!! .....

there are good tailors in singapore? :)
I think likely part of the railway track in Kranji might end up make way for road widening for Woodlands Rd.
none as cheap as those sikh fellows in bangkok.
for the price of a suit here I can make three over there with the same material ....

about bloody time ......
the tracks are a MAJOR disruption to the traffic flow everywhere it runs .... it's like a worm that's infected singapore for donkey years .....
I don't understand why people feel nostalgic about that piece of shit .... so bloody glad I don't get to hear the trains at 3am anymore ...

well it's e convenience... Dun have to go to Woodlands to take KTM. But security and traffic is always an issue.
I'm looking at this way...
1) Kranji Rd would be widened for uninterrupted flow, Kranji Rd T-junction to be signalised.
2) Woodlands Rd (Bet Mandai Rd & Turf Club Ave) to be widened since the KTM track was right beside the road for this stretch.
LTA had alrdy planned to widened Woodlands Rd bet Bt Panjang & Mandai Rd to 3 lane carriageway.
3) Stagmont Ring to be widened and a signalised T-junction may soon appear.
My 2 cent thought.

Probably because all the other places actually worth keeping are now gone or "renewed" beyond recognition.
The southern end, South of Choa Chu Kang Rd
Gombak leg nothing much can be done, MINDEF is there.
Hillview leg, Bt Timah hill leg, park?
Holland Rd, likely left alone. Unless Clementi Rd forest is in for development.
Ghim Moh, Tanglin Halt think nothing much...
Bt Merah, AYE is right beside, JTC flatted factories.
Tat leaves most of this leg to be left untouched for quite some time.
that's the thing about singapore ... we can't resist development ....
like lorong halus for example .....
first, it was a virtually virgin swamp ....... full of life ....
then, the highways came ......
now, they turned the rivers into a park .... demolishing most of the mangrove habitats on one bank .....
another good example is the "mangrove walk" at labrador park .... it used to be one of my favourite seabass spots ..... the place was thumping ...... unspoilt ....
then .... to my dismay ... after I returned from pluto ... i found a golf course opposite ....
and now, they are buidling this mangrove walk thingy .... but the construction altered the mud banks, and destroyed most of the very mangroves they are trying to showcase to the world !!!!!
The Labordor Park will sooner or later be destroyed when I realised what they wanted to do...
