How do you enjoy a cocktail?

Hey guys. I was just down at Timbre the other day and had no idea what to order since well we usually just order mixers like a coke and vodka while at the club and even at other bars sometimes.
Like for Tequila, there is this whole elaborate process of licking the salt off. Well what I wanna know is are there any ways you guys go about drinking your cocktail or enjoying it? I had a Sidecar btw didn't know what to get

Not sure if any of them can help coz most here either order beer or stout or maybe wineI can't remember the last time any of us ordered a cocktail

I get a caipirinha (or a mojito if that's not available) if I'm at the beach. Indoors, the only cocktail I order is a gin & tonic. Both are consumed without any fuss or fanfare, like a gentleman.

I don't get the point of drinking shots to get intoxicated. I prefer to savour my alcohol, even schnapps and aperitifs.

before i stopped partaking in alcohol, it was either mojito, margaritas, sex on the beach and occasionally, long island tea and gin & tonic
these days (and on very rare occasions), mocktails

Seriously, it's a matter of individual taste. Try a few different ones (for taste and the elaborateness of the drinking process) and see what tickes your fancy.
