the ruin of the PAP is not a cause for celebration .... at least, not the way things are right now .......
they may go down like humpty dumpty, but your CPF, HDB flat value, job security and what not may go down in smoke very quickly as well ......
someone I know predicted that we'll see a massive emigration spike if the PAP loses power .... I think I can agree.

actually e property price is really... after all how expensive it goes, it's still a bl00dy house to live.
it's only e govt tat gains w/ property tax receipt.
ALL the things that our leaders are not
if only we've a group of committed singkies willing to spend their life to run a country as like back aft being kicked out.
but it's going to be difficult to find ppl w/ that hunger.
time to zzz... nite all :)

For instance, there was the time when it was decided to raise GST to 7%.
All the PAP MPs turned into glorified cheerleaders cheering the GST offset package.
Only the opposition and NCMPs voiced concerns about the rise in GST.
they are bringing about singapore's ruin as we speak. all the spanking new buildings and infrastructure does not hide the decay. just look around you.

the new buildings are fucking fucking ugly. singapore is looking more ridiculous with each day. I was just looking at the skyline today with the flyer, esplanade and the 3 joss sticks with surfboard and nearly facepalmed in despair.
why can't they put the money and effort in salvaging our rapidly detiorating public transport?

and that's the problem ......
who's to lead the change ?... the current rabble that's the opposition right now ? ... human rights activists who go loco at mosques ? businessmen who take nude pics of their maids ? ex lecturer whose hunger strike = a milk diet ? A fellow who's spent most of his professional life overseas, and speaks english like a brit ?
Stability, predictability, and continuity are essential ingredients for a peaceful and prosperous society. Surely no one would cut off his own dick just to spite a particular CB ? I am convinced that any changes would have to come from within the PAP. And it's gonna happen, I'm sure, when lau lee croaks. We can accelerate the process by giving the PAP a malaysian elections result, but there's only so far one can rock the boat.
Which is why I'm going to hold my nose and vote for the PAP at the coming election.

Well, we can hope that LKY dies and LSL dies of cancer before the elections and goh chok tong leads the charge for reform.

it's $$ and effort issue.
Actually I think e public tpt issue is a little too late. It would take years to settle everything.
And yes, I agree that only a breakaway faction from the PAP will bring about any change.

somebody should kidnap the pua cb in charge of smrt and torture her for a few days before throwing her in front of an oncoming train.
I think LSL is a good chap .....
unfortunately, he is his father's son ..... and his wife doesn't have a very good reputation .....
I'd give him a chance to be his own man when his dad croaks ... I suspect that this current political openess we are seeing right now, is really part of his plan, he is preparing singapore for a future without, if not the PAP, then certainly his dad.
but really ... after all that's said and done .... Singapore does owe lau lee a modicum of gratitude .... we could easily still be a third world shithole ..... he did a lot of good once ... just that he's waaaaaaaaaay too long in the tooth now, and he doesn't know when to shut up .... a common failing of old fogeys I suppose ... at least he's not as big an embarrassement as the fellow our northern neighbours have to put up with.
and of course, there's lau goh ...... did I tell you guys before we saw lau goh buying noodles at marine parade once ? ... very down to earth and friendly chap ... and ho ! ... the people there love him ......

its only because of his old man that he is even the pm in the first place.

Nicely stretched infrastructure would seem more accurate.

no... There's someone else before her tat created e mess... a mini star
everything is stretched to maximise profits.
They've forgotten things like MRT is built for the people who has helped created wat it is (was) today.
Many taken things for granted how a gp of civil servants was made to clean up e bus svs following e formation of SBS. No easy task... Paved e way for MRT, farecard payment to surface years later.

he..
creator of COE, ERP and expensive property prices (other 1/2 thks to pte developers bidding high for plots of land due to 'demand' - dunno how are ppl going to afford expensive properties).
Ppl had to challenge him to travel along Upp S'goon Rd for NEL to be built. Lucky else Sengkang & Punggol devt will tie up e bus companies..
Later use Potong Pasir MRT Stn as carrot..
