according to the chinese tabloids, seems lots of people went to queue up to get into the IRs and a whole bunch of nimrods got refused entry because they showed yup in t-shirts, shorts/bermudas and sandals

did you guys see the "stick the first joss sticks of the year" debacle in Taiwan on the news last night?

the crowd pushed the temple doors off the hinges and pushed over a 300kg stone lion..

i'm betting a whole lot of them got trampled too

my friends went to list out the unhappiness of ppl in M'sia

1) 1 terrace house inside IDR cost RM470,000... which typical M'sian can buy?

2) pump subsidised petrol must use IC. Somemore there's article reporting that once M'sia has to import oil, it's probably RM3.10/ Lit of petrol they've to pay. RM3.10 is abt e price we pay for petrol in S'pore pre-tax (GST & petrol tax). How to survive and there's no public tpt in City area even.

3) 5% GST for M'sia in 2011

4) Corp & Income Tax at 26%

5) Corruption

6) NEP/ Bumi Policy

7) Old resentment: From S$1 = RM1, now it's S$1 = RM2.42.. They dunno which ministar in bolehland scrapped the peg citing RM should be stronger than SGD in 1970s. Not to say MSA split into SIA & MAS.

8) Low wages yet cost of living going up.

9) How the opposition is dealt w/. Now soto mee trial or last time black eye.

On the flip side of things, I've read about local female undergrads who spend nearly two hours just to dress up to go to school every day.

Come on lah..... of course one shouldn't dress so slovenly to campus, but this is too much.

This effect only occurs when they're still freshmen.... eventually, they'll wake up their ideas and realize that giving up two hours of sleeping for preening is just dumb.

actually its not just girls now. guys are also spending hours doing their hair and faces and shit like wearing women's clothes and carrying handbags. supposedly that is current men's fashion.
