cb needa do an assignment on trade unions in singapore and china and whether are they really trade unions?
the lecturer keeps telling us his view that the singapore one is and the china one isnt.. but i just feel like going against him cause i dont think NTUC does much as a trade union anyway.. but articles or journals going against them like the one the nus lecturer wrote a few years back is so few and far between and ended up he gotta migrate to another country.. >.<

it's all relative, compared to china's "trade unions", singapore ones are quite quite real ......
actually, singapore trade unions can play quite dirty one. I remember at the last place my mom worked before she became a housewife, the management got into some disagreements with a bayi who happened to be some ranking union official.
the company got hit again and again with one sort of audit after another, when before that, they had zero trouble ......

well I usually have less sugar or no sugar in my drinks... I like my dessert sweet but not my drinks...However, cold bubble tea + hot coffee = likely stomachache later...

Hey wat do u guys expect? Santa claus? Anyway voting for santa claus is as good as vetting an orang utan! :D
Just feel that the governement needs some watch dogs, really smart people to not get involved with the policy making but to see.research and perform stringent tests on what ever they are saying is correct.
Someone down to earth, someone who connects to the citizens yet is upper class enough. Got such people?

I used to think like you too, that it'll be like cutting off your schlong just to spit a particular broad ....
it actually does make sense, the PAP will still be in power, nothing would change, and that's how they got so complacent in the first place, they have lost touch with the ground.
but if you send in a few gadflies into parliament, maybe it'll be enough of an irritant to the lightening horse to actually take notice. CST is a nice chap but old and useless, LTK was a huge disappointment, he blinked first when up against crown prince lee over mas selamat. To go against the PAP is madness, and that's why you need to vote for real nutcases. Send in a few chaps like Mr longhair in hong kong. At the very least they'll be able to provide comic relief in there, mock back at what is a mockery in the first place.
I'm sick of honest mistakes and being made to feel like a second class citizen in my own land.

i am gonna do what the pap feared the young ppl would do.. and that is to vote the opposition so they will not take their seats for granted and make life become more and more difficult..
i dont wana effing pay 1mil for a hdb flat 10 years down the road..i dont wana pay erp just to leave my house gate..and i dont wana see so many foreigners as my colleagues..
