sheldon came about cos of my apparent affinity with the letter "S" .....
born in singapore, dealt in shanghai, studied in swiss cottage secondary, singapore polytechnic, U of S, first job offer at SED systems, stayed in s'toon, saskatchewan.
And then there's all the women named S in my life ........ susie ....

Dun think they really mind, imagine we only had Feb 2008 till now to plan and execute everything.Actually hor, you see if really want to do things in Singapore, can be done one if we've e will and focus. But these days lots of things are blocked thks to cost, bla bla bla.

what other factors blocks the thing, other than costs ? .......
it's not that we don't have the money either ...... we're supposed to be rich .......
unless, of course, if the losses at temasek and GIC's a lot worse than we thought .....

Fatum, ESC recommended the shift of PSA's older terminal to Pasir Panjang and Tuas South I believe is because the older terminals aren't able to handle > 10,000 TEU vessels riao.
Actually I think we need to make more effort to get more lines to use Singapore as a transhipment port. It's good for our exporters (cheaper rates thks to no need of transhipment).
Anyway bolehland's port are feeling threatened by how much PSA has changed.

for YOG, it's simply too tight. We've half the time than e usual to plan the infastructure.The next YOG host city has been announced last week, they've 4 yrs to plan!
Actually these days discounting events like YOG, public sv very giam onto spending $$ to upgrade facilities. My encounter w/ LTA, SMRT & SBS shows it as I suspect small little improvements over time tat I feel could be improved.
You would be surrpised it's rather e private SBS more willing to take commuters' feedback.
