The prosecution is satisfied that no one else in the team knew about the plan...so that leaves Flavio Briatore alone to face the firing squad. He never got along well with the governing body, so perhaps he has been singled out.

Oh, and smoking doesn't just kill off weak tadpoles. It poisons the healthy ones as well, which will then be killed off in the next round of smoking, which will also poison the other healthy tadpoles, which will be killed again..... it's a vicious cycle.
