Damn...I'm felling knackered from the lack of sleep from the combination of the heat and haze last night.

and tonight you shall be accompanied by rain
Oh rain? Great!
Hmmm....I've got a question that I crave advise for.
Ok, the story goes:
I was eating with a friend at the canteen which was of course crowded as usual.
Along comes this girl I just talked to at my previous class, and she appeared to be having trouble looking for a seat.
So I made a little waving motion, and she comes over and asks if she could sit with us. So we made a little space for her and we got back to stuffing ourselves.
As soon as me and my friend finished eating, my friend suddenly whisked my plate from right under my nose and went off, ostensibly to leave me alone with her and I was like wtf!
Needless to say, I freaked out a little, said "have a nice day" and stuff, and scrammed from the place.
And my friend went: Wa lao....waste my effort!
He thought I had invited her to sit there cos I liked her which I......got nothing to say. I thought it was normal to well, help someone you see who has trouble looking for a seat???
.....
And when I asked another friend the same thing, he asked me: You like her ar?
........
So if you were me and you see someone you knew, even if it was through just an hour of small-talk, would you invite him/her to sit with you?
I would.
But somehow my friends thought I was mad. Which left me puzzled.
your friends think too much! haha.
so, you like her ar...?
i don't see anything wrong or peculiar with your actions i.e. asking her to join you guys but scooting off mid way when she hasn't finish her meal seems a bit rude.

You are another one.
Well, most unfortunately, or most fortunately.....
*ahem
It was sheer coincidence that such a thing had to happen with her in the picture that left me unable to justify properly my point of view that I like to share with people the joys of being able to sit and eat in peace.
Anyway, I tried to justify my stand and told my friends: I regret making space for you guys back in NS.
My friends replied: If you didn't we just had to complain to the sgt.
oh no
i'm awake and hungry
and its gonna rain heavily!!!

I freaked out la.
And I said some things to my friend that I apologised for later.
Yr friends are just being childish I think or they just think that for a guy to do something nice for a girl = he likes her

Ok, great.
I was wondering if I was being the odd one out thinking in this manner.
Oooh.....dark clouds and big wind. I like.
Anyway, there's a thread on Ho Ching molesting and exposing himself to a girl.

i think trying to justify to your friends make it seem that you like the gal

Actually its the other way around.
The very fact that I do indeed like her, although I gotta wait 2 weeks from now to ask her out, made it very hard to explain that it was just sheer coincidence that their deduction was right. Which was really unfortunate. Or fortunate given the probability or me seeing her again!
That aside, I was damn sad to hear that they would just ignore him/her if well, they didn't consider classmates as "someone they knew".
Is this why there's little neighbourhood spirit here?
