it's Quentin Tarantino's choices... he's a fan of all these retro stuff..
very much influenced by the HK swordfighting and kungfu movies, he even got the guy Gordon Liu to be in Kill Bill..
fricken awesome movie.. the Five Point Palm Exploding Heart Technique is straight from those HK movies

ain't no fan of action movies or any of those sort; unlikely to miss anything. in fact my movie watching is so narrow that i probably less than 5 shows in a year.

oh well.. it isn't really action.. the action is secondary to the story actually..nevermind..
in other news, some people from the other section is getting a tongue lashing by their boss for screwing up something pretty basic...
and earlier in the day, the other guy in my section got it from my boss for screwing up something really basic.. again... 2nd time he committed the same basic mistake which has terrible repercussions... i've been made to babysit him... again...

unfortunately not so simple. and amongst the addresees are 2 deputy directors and....well, basically everyone in it is way above me in the organisational food chain. and the decisions were made way above my level too. oh well, email sent, hopefully they won't reply before I leave the office today.

i had to send a few of those out myself... but luckily i could use the weight of the No.1 to tell them to zip it..
some of them don't know when to quit... we "proposed" something which was basically us being strongarmed into the stupid project by people up high.. made to front it by them and sent in the proposal to the No.1 for approval..
the No.1 isn't dumb.. he shot it down like the piece of flying turd it was...
the assholes kept harping on it because it was their pet project... so i told them over the phone cannot... because the No.1 shot it down already... they had the stupidity to write an email to me to resurrect it... so i nicely put it to them that we have been told to cease everything by the No.1.. they still persisted so i put in the cc list, the No.1... and the No.1 shot them down directly after they stupidly still told me to look for "other avenues"..
