That's before you start paying to enhance your computer or improve your arsenal of weapons.
I imagine that communication is more limited than in MSN or chatrooms, unless you take your friendship there. -

Not really, for example WoW is a MMORPG. meaning you interact with real humans. not exactly socialising in the typical world view. But it can be said of as another mode of communication like msn or the phone instead of meeting up in person.

i still prefer the old fashioned way of a face-to-face meeting, over a meal or cuppa. -

and for the computer games, it's like work isn't it? not really socialising.. everyone's trying to whack the giant pixel monster and gain imaginary gold and XP points... and trying not to let the sprite vanish...

not really, we have vent where we can talk to each other all at once hahaaha and we used to have our crazy fri nite... we just crap, sing silly songs, and luff our hearts out.. it's like hanging out except we are prob in the same instance and in the comfort of our own home with ppl all over the world -
