Official Food Victim will be MPB
LOL. If he eats it, it means it pass, if he refuses to eat or complain means it doesn't work >.<"
Hahah. I pity MPB. He is ur Guinea Pig.
Ok just to gather feedback on what you guys hate about Vegemite
Maybe if I use it as a marinade and somehow reduce the flavour it might work
I start off first.
I don't like the bitter flavour and the 'hardness' it leaves on the tongue and this chemical like after-taste >.<"

uh.. i guess i'm one of those rare ones who dun mind it. In fact, the last time i had it on hot toast in WA, i thought it tasted great. Even bought a jar to settle my daily breakfast whilst i was there. But well, my then partner wouldn't go near the jar..

The saltiness, i guess. I seems to compliment the blandness of toast very well.
But well, i dun really know much about food and i'm not too fussy
How does it taste like? Marmite or bovril? Similar?

They all taste the same to me

Marmite and Borvil is still quite liquid but Vegemite is like a sticky paste

Think borvil taste better than vegemite. Vegemite has a sourish aftertaste which borvil dun have

We shall never speak of Borvil again. My childhood was a lie.
There is another reason why I don't like Borvil
I have to say it's the lesser evil of the other 2 coz it have a beefy flavour
Well when I was in Oz studying I was down with a bad case of hay fever and my friend cooked stir fried pork with Borvil and after having that I broke up in hives :x
Doc said something about the salt or yeast or whatever in Borvil that made me break out
After that I don't even touch it anymore :x

Oh. Guess i shall get xoxo to get some when she goes aussie and come back.
Bovril now comes only in chicken flavour, because of the BSE scare 10 years ago. Some people used the beef-flavoured version to make onion soup (in lieu of beef stck).

The chicken flavour one not nice, the original beef one still the best.
the "original" beef is not beef...
it's yeast extract, beef-flavoured..
it's actually vegetarian
Dammit. I got cheated.
All the while ....
Zzzz.
Heck, i still like it.
