The ones from zoo trip taken by the 18-200 ar? But on D70 you're only getting 150 plus minus leh.

nope.. the zoo, i used my sony.. the D70s is in the shop.. servicing..
the guy there is pretty good but he takes his time..
for travel, i think i'll stick to a simpler camera

LF's one is 2.8. Heavy duty stuff. I often see people use gaffer tape to protect the lens body, spoil the design. Don't do that to your new baby LF!

actually, you can't see it because it's armoured with about 30 rolls of tape

That one cold weather is different mah. She traveling that is why she armour the body with tape. But best to get a soft case like one of those muzzlers.
When they shoot in extreme conditions, those bulky blimp like cases are used.

The best all round lens for me is still 20-100mm range. Favourite is f4, retain enough detail then gao liao.
No need so many lens. Only need one cos too broke. Use and abuse it through and through!.

i'll stick with my 18-200.. and the 50mm is also pretty good..

Usually girls take very gd care of their cameras and lenses one lah. But when they remove the gaffer tape, wouldn't that leave glue from the tape? It worsens condition of the equipment.

1st..i gaffer my cammy cos i was about to go sabah last year.
super sunny, sea, salt water, sand...and very rough environment
2nd. gaffer lens cap and cammy, cover the logo...prevent theft ..
3rd. gaffer tripod legs...no scratches
4th gaffer lens....avoid scratches
5th...pull out gaffer tape, it will leaves sticky gum on them, use another gaffer tape, tap it, come out easily....original grip..unharm..:)
then everything outer surface unscratch....resale can fetch better price.
