*me mysteriously appears in a puff of smoke*
I reached school at 9am.... I was planning to study in the library....
Then I realised that I didn't have a plug key for my two-pin laptop AC adaptor....
I went to two NUS Co-Op bookshops at Arts and Engin..... both didn't sell them....
In the end, I gave up, packed up, and now I've just arrived at my lab (where I have plug keys).
Remind me to get three-pin plugs for my next laptop.
anybody knows anybody works in the travel industry.
air china agreed to refund us the full amount for my chengdu to lhasa cos of the riot.
so there money transaction, the nb agent took this opportunity and says the wholesaler they bought from may kapo $50 from our ticket and this agent also want $20... which left us little back from air china....
i want to TELL THE WORLD WHAT IS GOING ON! DUN BUY FROM 3RD PARTY AGENCY FROM CHINATOWN!
Daylight robbery from ticketing agents..!

Stick a pen into the top socket
Works too

Tried doing that.
It works for some sockets, but it doesn't work for others (particularly the newer ones).

the newer ones, you need to stick an insulated stick into either the live or the neutral (preferably the neutral) hole.. then use the plug to stick into the other hole... which will turn the safety blocking thingy enabling access...
the safety blocking thingy requires the two extreme ends to be pushed at the same time before it'll open up

you mean this ticketing agent bought tickets from a wholesaler who bought from Air China?
Usually for ticket refunds.. agencies usually will return the full amount.. unless they want some $ for admin fee or whatever...
Perhaps see if got any T&C anywhere?
If not, complain to case lor..
CASE is useless..

I wonder about their spanking new airport they built overnight for the Olympics
Do you think it can even function :x
normally refund of tickets, agency will charge an admin fee of btw $15-$30...
as for airline, sometimes they do charge - SQ charge $75.
fairy, u may want to ask the nb wholeseller why they charge $50 ? and can argue with the current agency wtf did they do to deserve the $20 admin charge.

there will be severe water shortage .....
http://www.asianews.it/index.php?l=en&art=11933&size=A
.....
The news agency Xinhua foresees a shortage of drinking water for 5.82 million people. Meanwhile, is expected that during the Olympics Beijing, a city of 16 million residents, will require 2.75 million cubic metres of water a day, 30% more than normal. The city wants to bring it in from Hebei, in part through a new canal about 309 kilometres long, which draws from four basins. But the water is low and "stagnant" in many of the reservoirs, there is not enough for the crops, and at least 500,000 inhabitants are suffering from a shortage of drinking water. The aquifers in Hebei have dropped by one to two metres in a year, and 50,000 wells have gone dry.

Since air china already said they refund 100%, then its only the wholesaler and the agency..
still don't understand why the agent needs to go to a wholesaler to get tickets..
i think i will put up in the forum. and other popular website
the agency lady dun even dare to issue a proper refund receipt.
say there will be refund, but cannot tell us amount, just estimate. dun even dare to write her name on my email and just initiate, din even sign.
i will post the name of the agency AND HER NAME in case pple kana scammed again. later in the evening..i get all details from my kakis.

Refund is 100% for the tickets price but dun forget nothing is free. Airline will charge admin fee (not part of ticket fee)...
i wonder if fairy they all can go down to air china office to ask for the refund themselves then to go through the 2 useless 3rd party (wholesaler and agency)....

ask liao... air china cannot refund us as they very like to..
we have to go back to the agency to get back the money
so air china gave the $210 (full refund)..to wholesaler (kapo $50) ..to chinatown agent (kapo $20)...left pathetic money back to us...
