in other news, after i amended the hell out of the goddamned paper i'm writing, the mad boss decides to add another pile of stuff and wants me to add to it too..
oh well.. at least this isn't limited to a wordcount or something... not like the other projects where the focus was "to show a little.. doesn't have to mean anything, just a trailer" became a huge clusterfuck of "everything also must put in"
so after 1 whole month of rewrites, the initial writeup was accepted...
here's the insanity:
"this must be a very high level view"
"we must put all these things in" (very very nitty-gritty small inconsequential things)
"this is too detailed"
"where is <various trivial things>?"
"not high level enough.. we must take a overview of things"
"we need to put in the details"
"why are there so many details?"
"the directors will want their projects stated"
"this is too specific.. we must have a high level view"
and so on and so forth until we go back to the initial writeup...
that's how my boss works...

I also kena fire drill this afternoon.
I forgot to go for the briefing yesterday ... and only realise that the fire drill is this afternoon.

i think if given a country to run, the guy will be like Robert Mugabe... he'll confiscate all the property from the white zimbabweans, throw them out, give the land to the cronies and then everyone will rot in the same hellhole equally (except for his cronies whom he will protect and who protect him from reality)
btw.. i see a lot of foreigners at my workplace too.. i should subject him to the same kind of treatment as my guys dish out to them

I received a classic email yesterday ... ranting at why the date of birth field in the registration page for one of the projects was not in "US format "... I was like har ? ....
apparently, US format meant "DD/MM/YY" ..... but I put down an example there, which I thought was self explainatory enough ... "05/18/70".......
I thought to myself if one didn't have the intelligence to follow this example and fill in the blanks ... one shouldn't really be trying to buy things online ....
