THEY ARE SO GOADAM DULL AND SLOW UNTIL U WISHED A FLYING SAUCER WOULD HOVER DOWN ABOVE TO THEIR BARN AND TELEPORT DOWN 5 SKINNY GREY STORMTROOPERS TO KIDNAP ALL THE INHABITANTS THERE!!!

PACIFIC 'WAR' MOVIE LACKS DETAILS ON THE REAL FIGHTING THERE.
IT HAS INSUFFICIENT MILITARY HARDWARE ON BOTH SIDES AND THE FIGHTING LOOKS LIKE ONLY A PLATOON STRENGTH AT MOST.ITS INSUFFICIENT IN CONTENT TO BE CALLED A WAR DOCUMENTARY OR WHATEVER SOUP THEY ARE SELLING.WHERES THE ENEMY JAPS???SITTING DOWN ON A SOFA IN SOME CAVE WATCHING RERUNS OF THE WALTONS???OR ONA BEACH ON THE OTHER SIDE OF THE ISLAND SIPPING MARTINIS ON A DECK CHAIR?
WHAT IS SEEN IS VERY TASTELESS AND DULL.,,,,IN FACT ITS MORE LIKE DULL FICTION OR DULL NON-FICTION.IF WARS WAS LIKE THAT THEN THEY WOULD CALL IT A WORLD WAR,,,,THEY WOULD CALL IT AN INSURGENCY OR SKIRMISH WITH GUYS IN PAJAMAS AND RAGS.

it shows incompetent leaders, ball carrying sergeant majors and a bunch of grunts.
but i always watch these shows while i check out what is their actual mission on the web.
i'm always on history channel
i never get enough of those programs
i watch these shows so that i get to "see" what happens instead of just documented films and arrows pointing on a map to explain where the attack is going.
i know its acting but at least its most interesting for me to link a documentary and the war scene
saw the first ep of generation kill. not my cup of tea leh. looks like they're over acting. zzz but thanks for the recommendation anyway!

after watching ep 9, i find the pacific acceptable as a soap opera. for a soap opera, 3/5.
just dislike the fact that they're trying to pass it off as a mini series about war, to be taken seriously.

u wouldn't think that way if you have seen that kind of characters in the military
i watch it and i just think about the crazy people i knew back then.

yeah actually i had worked with some of those folks they are pretty original as shown. -
laffs at crazy people digging gold outa kopiosatus n araphoes head with a fork n spoon during lunch time .
its not that bad in spore militry especially since they havent even been into a stressful wartime situation.
the pay sucks,the work sucks....everything sucks......people must be crazy to werk there.
