It seemsd to received good reviews so watching it this noon...hmm great period costume set in korean dynasty, pretty queen , gay king and royal guard ...sounds good

A Frozen Flower got billed here as “The Year's Sexiest Blockbuster�, and writer-director Ha Yu's movie could probably be also billed as an equivalent to Zhang Yimou's Curse of the Golden Flower, given its period setting and schemes within a royal household, plenty of gorgeous costumes, opulent production sets, with a tinge of wire-fu martial arts and a chock load of mixed romances thrown in for good measure too. Set near the end of the Goryeo era (AD 918 ~ 1392), Korea was politically manipulated by the Yuan Dynasty in China. The ambitious King of the Goryeo Dynasty organizes Kunryongwe, as his royal guards and escorts. HONG Lim, the commander of Kunryongwe, captivates the King of Goryeo, and the Queen keeps her eyes on the relationship between HONG Lim and the King with a reluctant view.
Meanwhile, the bilateral relations between Goryeo and the Yuan gets worse as Yuan demands to install the cousin of the King as the Crown Prince of Goryeo, attributing to the fact that there is no heir sired by the King. The high-ranking officials of Goryeo, who are in submission to Yuan, are hence discontented with the king.
One day, the King gives HONG Lim a covert yet objectionable order to sleep with the Queen in his place to protect the independence of Goryeo from the Yuan by making a son, the successor to Goryeo throne. And so begins a complex love triangle which enthralls and captivates.
