" Every House has a history, Do u know whats yours??"
Manohar, an upwardly mobile middle class Indian, moves into a new apartment - 13B on the 13th floor with his family fulfilling one of his life's biggest dreams. But the family is greeted by a series of small trivial incidents like freak accidents and lift malfunctions.
The women in the family get hooked on to a new daily TV show serial "Yavarum nalam" (All's Well). The show is about a family eerily similar to theirs who have also just moved into a new house just like they have. As the serial unfolds, Manohar notices that the incidents that happen in the serial are a reflection of what has happened to Manohar and his family each week.
As Manohar fights the uneasy feeling in his mind, things start taking a turn for the worse in the serial. He is now terrified that the same would happen to his family as well. Manohar now wants to know who is behind the making of this serial and what their intentions are.
As Manohar explores the mysterious happenings, he unravels a deep and unholy secret. The characters appearing on his TV are already dead 30 years ago and are looking for someone close to manohar's family.
The house they live in was the house where the whole family of eight were murdered way back in 1977.
It was the family of a TV News reader.........
Fetching best credits across the towns as a spellbinding thriller, it’s time for ‘Yaavarum Nalam’ to sway across Hollywood. Well, the film has been getting through prodigious critical acclaims for Director Vikram who had penned a script out of the blue. The film witnessed slow opening across both Bollywood and Kollywood box office, but, together grossed collections of Rs.15-16 Crores during first weekend.
US Distribution and Production Studio The Weinstein Company that had recently released ‘The Reader’ (that won Oscars of Best Actress for Kate Winslet) have approached Big Pictures for the international remake.
One of the sources from Reliance Big Pictures says, ‘There isn’t much any exultation for us than this glad tiding. Doubtlessly, we could predict that the film would look for unexpected resplendencies prior to its release.’ The script was mailed across various international production houses and Weinstein has taken interest for remaking it.
Also it has been revealed that Big Pictures is looking to sell the remake rights as well home video distribution through East Asia and Western Euro
