Michael Wee, Artison Asia's Design Director will be hosting an introduction talk about production design. This presentation will introduce production design to newcomers who wish to enter this creative industry and give them a better understanding of `What Production Design is all about'. This talk is also useful for media practioners who wish to find out more about the process and people behind production design.
Topics such as a general view of Production Design, role of a Production and Set Designer, Production Design Process, skills required, qualifications and further training opportunities, will be discussed. There will also be Q&A sessions for the audience to interact with the speaker.
About the speaker:
With more than 25yrs of experiences, Michael has been providing Production Design Services to the entertainment lifestyle industry, specializing in the design & construction and has worked in every environment conceivable from the entertainment industry to intimate Stage-TV- Film productions and to Interior Design. He has worked for major TV stations in Singapore and Malaysia such as the then SBC TV station, now known as TCS, and KL’s Astro TV station.
Some notable projects he has taken on as set designer include such blockbusters as `The Pilot’, `The Unbeatables’, `The truth about Jane and Sam’ and `Singapore Dreaming’.
