Angels & Demons is an upcoming film adaptation of Dan Brown's novel of the same name, due for release on May 15, 2009. It is the sequel to The Da Vinci Code (2006), another Brown film adaptation, although the novel Angels & Demons takes place before the novel The Da Vinci Code. Filming took place in Rome and the Sony Pictures Studios in Los Angeles. Tom Hanks reprises the lead role of Robert Langdon, while director Ron Howard, producer Brian Grazer and screenwriter Akiva Goldsman also returned.
Can't wait for this one! Any Angels and Demons fans out there?

Wow! THe da vinci code was so good I went to buy the collectors' dvd set! Hope this one will be as good or even better!
Tom Hanks is the perfect actor to play Peter Langdon!

Tom Hanks returns as Dan Brown's symbologist Robert Langdon in his first adventure Angels & Demons, which Hollywood decided to make after The Da Vinci Code, given the latter's more controversial subject striking a raw nerve on the faith itself. The Catholic Church was up in arms over the first film, but seemingly nonchalant about this one. And it's not hard to see why, considering Ron Howard had opted to do a flat-out action piece that serves as a great tourism video of Rome and Vatican City, and would probably boost visitor numbers given the many beautiful on-location scenes, save for St Peter's Square and Basilica which was a scaled model used. Watched it just now! other then the few irritating kids making noise, i enjoyed the show.
i didn't read the book but the master mind is kinda predictable especially near the ending of the show.
4.5/5 from me :)

I think people will appreciate and understand the movie more if they had more art and history knowledge on the sculptures, their artists, the churches and its practices etc.

DAMN BLOODY GOOD!
even without understanding the scuptures/artists/etc and forgetting most of the stuff in the book!
the moral of the story? don't believe the news that you hear/read/watch.

also, a movie is a movie and a book is a book. just because it's based on the book doesn't mean it's going to be in any way the same. if you're going to compare movie and book or hope that the movie follows the book, forget it.

to those who watched it already ..
the scene where the carmegelo (sp?) was branded, and the swiss guards bust into the pope's office.. then the head of swiss guard was gunned down. Right after that, one of the priest? who was wearing that uniform went up and said something like "u lying ..." then he got gunned down too.
who is he? how does he know that the carmegelo was fake?
The movie doesn't explain this well ..

when langdon went to watch the recorded stuff in the computer, the head of the swiss guard mentioned to the carmalengo that he told (the other person who was shot) what he knew.
that's why the carmalengo had to make sure they were both killed.

i neber read the book watsoever, so i watch this movie as a movie
pretty good i must say....... though ending a bit predictable and i dun relli like it.....
apart from some cheem parts and they tok too fast (and i can't read the subs fast enough) and a few cold jokes here and there....... it was rather enjoyable..... bery ç´§å¼ ......possible spoiler below... do not highlight if u don't wanna know
if have to scan retina to enter the lab with the canister, how come the old man (whose eyeball kena dug out) is INSIDE instead of outside? (all along he was INSIDE.... presumably alone...)
i love the part they (ahem, she) tear the page out

wahahhahaa........ damn cool.......that old man was found outside .. (remember vittoria went in, saw the eyeball and then saw antimatter missing and then went out again to another room?) he was working inside when they created the anti matter, but it did not say why he went outside .. i presumed, he went outside to do whatever or to wait for vittoria ..

Nah not worth watching. Boring, predictable. I knew who the bad guys were right from the beginining.
The movie rightly bashes the Catholic church though =). But Holy Blo- i mean Davinci Code was better.
I'd rather watch WOlverine again than Angles and Daemons.
