Synopsis
CASHLESS revolves around a man’s reckless pursuit of his misplaced cash after he mistakenly transfers an important sum of money meant for his mother into the wrong ATM account. When time and money are at stake, how far must he go before he finally finds himself? Starring Danny Jow, and featuring music by local bands The Lilac Saints and RustyNailz.

I know u from my friend who was in the same fac as you..i watched "in our own words" premiere and i remembered congratulating you.. can't wait for Cashless to be released..Danny Jow was a wise choice..isnt he from DreamForest?

Oh! Was it during the Film:Treatment screening at UCC? Hm I'm not sure who's the friend you're referring to though..
And yes, we're very very lucky to have Danny! He's professional, passionate and so patient. Really learnt a lot from him both on set and off. We met with quite a few challenges during the production, but through it all, Danny was always supportive.. what a gem!

For CASHLESS, I actually co-directed it with my friend, Derek Tan. He's the editor for In Our Own Words (IOOW), and edited for CASHLESS this time as well. And the Director of Photography (DP) for both the docu and CASHLESS is our friend, Jian.
Heh so it's pretty much the same core team from IOOW. It's always fun to shoot with people you know you work well with. They are pretty much the ones who made IOOW look good for me! :)

i wonder if u recall Agnes..she was in the same fac with u and apparently an acquaintance of Liz Wij...

Hm I know Liz but am not familiar with an Agnes though... maybe I'll recognize her by face. I guess that's the problem when the faculty's so big.. which is the case even for people in the same major - it still surprises me to find that there are still people that I don't know after 4 years in the same major!

Updates! We had our first CASHLESS interview on SINdie, a blog on Singapore independent films by Jeremy Sing!
Jeremy: How was the idea for your film conceived? What inspired you?
Melinda: The original script was actually written by one of our friends, Izmir Ickbal, also a nuSTUDIOS alumnus. He had pitched the story to me back in 2006 and it sounded like an interesting premise…Check out our website http://cashless.wordpress.com/ for more information on the interview.
