the best compilation to get. Got it a cheap price. Finished watching the entire series again with renewed interest, this time the director's cut of the set instead of the extended or theatrical version
Alien - the director's cut is just awesome
Aliens - more extended scenes but nothing much here yet it remains just as exciting and involving as the theatrical version.
Alien 3- this one, the director's cut blows the first 2 movies out of the water. its almost 30 minutes longer and has CGI version of the Alien added. The best disc in the set.. Its like watching a whole new movie
Alien Resurrection - significant improvement with the director's cut

Sounds interesting but what examples of director's cuts are there?
did u mean this series? or other movies?
As in "the director's cut of the Alien(s) movies". What was added inside each director's cut. Just some examples. "More gore", "deleted scences" etc.

i had all except the 1986 one, been lookin hard for it. Im a fan of this series
ebay.
There is may be no real difference between special editions, director;s cut ect.
Basically a director's cut is the original storyboard and scenes the director intended to.
Aliens special edition may very well be the director's cut as well.
In the compilation, dont know . I have seen it just the single Special edition disc like the one in the picture in laserflair for $9.99. I think there is 2 version speical edition and definitive edition disc. But since the Alien Quadrilogy (4 movies in a set) is the latest release, it should all be the final editions.
