"Underworld: Rise of the Lycans" delves into the origins of the centuries-old blood feud between the aristocratic vampires, known as Death Dealers, and the barbaric Lycans (werewolves). A young Lycan, Lucian (Michael Sheen), emerges as a powerful leader who rallies the werewolves to rise up against Viktor (Bill Nighy), the cruel vampire king who has persecuted them for hundreds of years. Lucian is joined by his secret lover, the beautiful vampire Sonja (Rhona Mitra), in his battle to free the Lycans from their brutal enslavement.

Dunno leh, Underworld 1 and 2 was only appealing to me because of Kate Beckinsale. But Rhona Mitra seems quite hot in the above poster anyway so who knows?

Actually a prequel isn't a really good idea.
We all know what happened to Rhona's character Sonja from the flashbacks in Part 1 and 2.

This is just the more detailed version i think. Or just to make the lycans seemed more powerful.

Watchable but not fantastic.
Rhona Mitra didn't really have much action sequences sadly.
But the film did nicely link to the first Underworld movie.
