Heard of the new movie coming out called "21"? I saw the book and poster and thought it was about some white dudes who cleaned out the casino guys.
Google Jeff Ma - turns out the original group were mostly Asian American guys who did a real life Ocean Eleven.
Hollywood changed the entire group's race and inserted a hot asian female just to satisfy 35% of the US. (Guess the demographic)
So let's have some fun and name some movies where the story was "loosely" based on the truth :)
Ocean's Eleven - 1960
Jurassic Park......everyone knows the dinosaurs have already extinct....
Well, technically that's not true, because birds are directly evolved from dinosaurs. :)
The biggest bullshit movie I ever came across was "The Core", it's about a group of scientist that drilled through the earth, to
reach the Earth's Core so that they can restart the spin of the Earth's Core.
Any idea what is the temperature of the Earth's Core?
The scientists' calculations put this temperature at about 6,650 degrees. Scientists estimate Earth's inner core to be about 9,000 degrees.

The melting point of iron is 2,750 degrees fahrenheit.
Most steel has other metals added to tune its properties, like strength, corrosion resistance, or ease of fabrication. Steel is just the element iron that has been processed to control the amount of carbon. Iron, out of the ground, melts at around 1510 degrees C (2750°F). Steel often melts at around 1370 degrees C (2500°F).

Before they can even break through the lithosphere to reach the athenosphere or the upper mantle, they would have already been roast pig, let alone reach
the core which is at least 99% more of the journey.
This movies is just pure bullshit!

Still abit of possibility to use the DNA of dinosaurs to genetically grow them.
Whereas "The Core" is just pure bullshit.
The Core they used some sorta special metal what?

What metal doesn't melt at 5,000 degrees celsius?
The mantle that subducts continental and oceanic plates melts everything and turns them into magma.
Magma you find in errupting volcanoes.
Even if you managed to find such an alien technology metal to withstand the heat, the people inside would be burnt to a crisp in nanoseconds.
The core is the most bullshit movie that goes against science and logic.

Just a movie la.
Movies must at least have some facts, when it's impossible to even reach within 100km underground, they want to reach 6,000km into the Earth's Core.
Some movies makes people stupid, now there are folks there who actually believe that they can reach the Earth's Core with special drilling vehicles.
When I saw the movie on tv, I was like fwah.......the producers stupid or what.

But those movies are talking about worlds quite different from ours.

I don't watch them either.
They are more for kiddies like cartoons.
Guys guys, I dont mean any movie. Obviously most movies are fiction and fantasy.
I mean movies which say they are based on a true story, but the movie turns out very different from the actual real story.
In the movie "21", all the asian's were replaced by white men and an asian female love interest.
Can you think of any other blatant bending of the truth?
da vinci code counted?
How abt Sunshine- about the crew of a spacecraft on a dangerous mission towards the Sun. In 2057, with the Earth in peril from the dying Sun, the crew is sent to re-ignite the Sun with a massive nuclear weapon.
Well, to me...by the time flew to the Sun...it's million light years le..now, this is crap.
well i just post about how they twist the facts about three kingdoms. maybe they made it easier for audience to understand but for ppl who know the real stuff, yeah it feels wierd.
light years used to measure distance not time. is it not possible for us to cross that distance now ?
awwwww man
they showing "the core" on ch5 again.
dumb arse show.
Saving Private Ryan, Braveheart, U571 to name a few.
All these movies either exxagerate American involvement or make it seem as if America was the only one fighting the war. Braveheart is there because it is historical fiction.
I forgot to add 'The Patriot' to the list of shame. It seems Mel 'The Rascist' Gibson has a chip on his shoulder...
